Quick profile of me: 1.) Extreme sensitive teeth 2.) Fragile gums that have since improved from daily flossing 3.) Using a custom teeth mold 4.) 7+ year user of Watts Power 5.) Average whitening time is 15-20 minutes Tip #1: Do not over fill! Considering the reviews, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the gel is strong and is designed to whiten bone so it's powerful stuff. I generally create a small line of gel across the teeth mold, a skinny line that is centered and doesn't 'fill' each tooth space within the mold. Don't create the line of gel from that last tooth in your mold, start with the second to last tooth to make sure gel doesn't seep behind your molars. With any teeth whitening gel, I've experienced harsh gum whitening and teeth sensitivity when overfilling the molds. Tip #2: Do not swallow In addition to lightly filling up the mold, it's important to not drink or add any liquid to your mouth while whitening. The molds I use have lasted nearly a decade, but they aren't extremely form fitting so excess gel can burn my gums or secrete into my mouth. I suggest a 'drool spit' method where you accumulate extra saliva and empty your mouth along the duration of whitening. It's strange, but if you swallow large quantities it may cause nausea (sensitive stomach). It's reminiscent to when you've had mouth sores and have had to use a topical ointment inside your mouth -- generally keep the area dry as possible for full effect. Tip #3: Duration Even as a long time user, I generally keep at 15-20 minutes if it's been more than a couple months since I whitened my teeth. I don't suggest going a full 60 minutes your first time. I also suggest that you lightly brush your teeth with water after use, to make sure your teeth are clear of gel. If I'm desperate, I'll force a 45 minute whitening session but may experience sensitivity afterwards, however, I won't whiten my teeth again for another few months which is time saving...guess there's a silverlining. You'll be able to better gauge your reaction when you test out different durations. Tip #4: Remove if it begins hurting 3 minutes in My experience has proven that the longer you keep the gel in, the more likely you'll feel a 'burn' so if you feel uncomfortable after 3 minutes of placing the Gel in your mouth...I advise you to take it out. The reason may be that you over filled the mold and there's too much or your general reaction to the ingredients is bad. Overall, this product is amazing and I highly recommend Watts over Crest or any other fad whitening kit around. Also, please get a custom tooth mold done, it will be a god send and if you grind your teeth at night, you'll have two uses for the mold. I don't use the mineral gel that comes with the product. It's tasty and leaves your mouth feeling fresh, but I haven't really noticed a huge benefit of it. I use fluoride free tooth paste and it's helped me dramatically. Happy Whitening! Read more

This stuff is AMAZING ...noticed a slight difference after one use ....but after the 2nd use I was truly amazed with what I saw and I continue to see excellent results with the 3rd and 4th use. I have my own trays and only have to use a small amount of the product... I place the trays in my mouth just before I get in the shower and leave them in while I continue to get ready for work ... approximately 45 mins to an hour...then remove the trays and brush my teeth as I normally would before leaving for work. My co-workers even noticed the difference and asked me for the product information so that they could order their own. I ordered the 4 pack and as described they are HUGE filled syringes and are plenty enough to last for quite a while ...the kit also included the blue restorative gel and that tube is also plenty for personal use.... I noticed a couple of "ZINGERS" but nothing too horrible or uncomfortable and the "blue gel" did seem to help with that.....I have always taken a couple of Tylenol or ibuprophen before any tooth whitening procedure in the past and I think this helps lessen the "zingers"...(anyone who has had their teeth professionally whitened would know exactly what I mean by the term "ZINGERS") ... I have also done an application prior to bed time ....just left the trays in while watching TV for about the same amount of time stated above ....brushed ...applied the "blue gel" as directed and off to sleep...I just do an application whenever it is the most convenient time for me ....I will probably only need to do an application 2 to 3 times a week due to how well this stuff works. I HIGHLY recommend this whitener to anyone who likes quick results. :) Would definitely order again IF the need ever arises ....this is ALOT of product and will last for a long time. Great product for a great price. !!! Read more

I've tried many whitening gels over the years and was very impressed with this product. I already had trays made from a dentist, so I just needed gel refills. After the first use, I could already tell a difference! (At least one shade lighter) Amazing value for the amount of product received. It may cause sensitivity for some, just remember to wipe any excess off of your gums and use the remineralizing gel afterward. Will definitley order again! Read more

At first I was a little skeptical after having read some of the negative feedback on here. But I wanted to try it for myself and must say that if you handle the product as described there should be no problem with it at all. Do NOT use it if you are having existing gum problems (like gingivitis), "open" teeth or any type of sensitive teeth. Treat those problems first or else you will have no fun using this item for it will extremely hurt you. Always buy the remineralizing gel with the bleaching one - I bought an additional package of 4 - and use it right after. It is awesome! Helps to fight any little irritation that might occur during the bleaching treatment and even without, it is simply great to protect und rebuild your teeths enamel. That being said, I would further suggest that you start slow with it in case you are not sure how sensitive you reaction to the product will be. Do NOT go for the full hour right away. Maybe just go with 10 to 15 minutes first. If that feels ok, try again a little longer. NOT on the same day though. Give your teeth a little time to recover. I use it once a week now and I am very happy with the result and my teeth and gum are just doing fine. Oh, had a dental clean-up done before I used it for the first time as well. This also helps to receive better results. My teeth look awesome and I will continue using this product (as said, not every day). Enjoy your great new smile!! Read more

Nicely packaged. the applicators are good and you can apply directly to spaces between teeth (while I'm still trying to find a decent tray, so that's a shame). Actual gels work after a few days! Read more
