I almost bought a new microwave because the turntable stopped working. Upon inspecting the microwave, we saw that there was a way to replace the part that was no longer working. We ordered this and the after a quick and easy install, the turntable is once again turning. Read more
"Our 10 year old microwave started acting up recently. The turntable was slow to start and made groaning noises. Food was not cooking evenly because of this issue. I thought we had to replace the microwave. A web search revealed that the turntable motors do fail and it is a fairly easy fix. Motor received quickly. Unplugged microwave. Removed the glass dish and roller ring. Gently pried the plastic shaft guide. Flipped microwave over. There should be a panel door. (Our door had to be snipped with a pair diagonal pliers.). Removed the access panel door. (Be careful of sharp edges from the snipping. unplug the two leads. Remove one Philips screw holding the motor. Twist and remove motor. Replace motor and reverse instructions. ( I needed a machine screw to reattach the panel). Voila, microwave is now as good as new!" Read more
