Love this Air Purifier. Easy to ensemble. Very quiet. Love the sleep mode and lock mode so you can accidentally change your settings. Purchased extra hepa filter when it comes time to change. The best feature by far is how much less dust I have on my furniture. Also can notice less particles in the room air. Especially noticeable on sunny days Read more

Air purifiers are one way to reduce harmful aerosols in closed rooms, especially when there are no windows to open. While the latter is more effective, provided the outside air is cleaner, some office environments don’t have windows. Even if there is glass in the wall, not many can be opened in commercial buildings. Anyway, some companies are proactive and install filter systems and even UV-C treatment in order to provide a safer environment. That costs money though, and so we’re predominantly working from home. Anyway, there are lots of reasons, pandemic or not, to consider a HEPA filter. The WBM Smart is named a bit confusing as that’s apparently the brand and not a reference to smart features like remote control or programmable timing. In fact, as a filter is most effective when running, this device appears to be designed for continuous operation. You get to choose the fan speed, but that’s about it. It does, however, have two rather uncommon features for a HEPA filter. The Lock is claimed to keep children (babies) from hurting themselves, although I am really not sure how they could get in harm’s way anyway. The other is a light, which turns out to be a lit ring on the interface that glows White in two different brightness levels. It’s rather subtle though. Before using, you have to open the bottom and remove the plastic wrapper from the filter insert. If you don’t, the filter obviously won’t work, but it will also result in a loud noise. (I didn’t try out how loud.) The bottom comes off easily via a bayonet mechanism, instead of screws. The filter condition is based on operating hours, and the filter replacement is suggested after 1500 hours. As I mentioned that there is no timer or programming, this directly calculates to just over 60 hours or 2 months of continuous use. Of course, the actual filter condition heavily depends on the amount of contamination it has to filter (i.e., dust). The housing is fairly big relative to the filter. Also, since the air is pulled in thru the bottom the room size is relatively small with 7.5 m2 (80 sqft). In return, the noise remains fairly low even in the highest setting. I recently reviewed a very different model (same size) with vastly different performance numbers while resulting in a minor hurricane (noise). As I alluded to in the beginning, I am using this filter in my office for which is properly sized. I really like the design and the fact that it’s very quiet in the first two levels and only slightly louder in the highest setting. It’s also fairly attractive and the only real limitation is the usage for small rooms/offices. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Living in California the fires have been horrible! This has helped tremendously with the air quality inside our home! It has a lock safety feature so you never have to worry if children or pets get near it. The top has a LED screen that can be turned on or off. It has 3 different fan speeds as well as a sleep mode option. The sleep mode still keeps the fan running but turns down low and the lights off. It is a little loud when it’s turned to the highest fan setting but fairly quiet for these type of devices. It’s filter is easy to change and set up is incredibly simple and easy! I’m so happy we have this! It has made the air a breath of fresh air while using this! UPDATE to the review above: I have had this purifier for almost a year now and felt I needed to update my review for those wondering how it works long term. This works just as good as the day I bought it with minor issues such as taking longer to purify the air. I have a ton of dust due to living next to a field and keeping my window open and as mentioned in my first review California has had a lot of fires and air quality can get pretty horrible. I have NOT needed to change the filter yet which is remarkable! Keep in mind I don’t run this all day everyday and only use it when I feel the shift in the air quality, after deep cleaning or when there are fires around my area. I would say I use this on average for 3 hours in the morning and on sleep mode at night 3 times a month! I originally had this in my living room which it’s helped the dust tremendously and just recently moved it to my bedroom which works even better then the larger area of my living room! This will let you know when you need the filter changed by having the led light for the filter light up and so far it hasn’t! The noise level is still the same as when I first bought it too and doesn’t make a lot of noise on sleep mode and only slightly makes a louder white noise when fully turned up to high. I’m still very happy with this product! Read more

WBM Smart Air Purifier works to keep your air clean by using vortex air technology that creates a stronger air flow. The unit comes packaged firmly in styrofoam and was in perfect condition. Contents in the box included: * unit (with filter already installed) * Power cord * Manual The unit has three power settings: (1) sleep mode (very quiet) (2) medium (3) fast Very easy to,turn on, power control panel is located on the top of the unit. I really appreciated the note that was attached when we open the box. It alerted you to remove the air filter before powering the u it on and it hid the control panel. It gives the four-step process that requires you to remove the filter to take off the plastic wrapping before using. They even added a replacement Indicator to remind you when you need to replace your filter. It is recommended to replace your filter every 6-8 months depending on the use and air quality. We placed it on my end table in the great room. It is on the entire time we are in this area. It is advertised to remove more than 99% airborne particulates and bacteria present in the air and give a clean and healthy air; really needed during this time. Great looking unit, looks and fits nicely on my table. And it does its job cleaning the air throughout the day. Read more
