The sweater is a looser weave knit and has a second knit layer inside that gives it some shape and warmth. The color is very neutral beige and the black stars are tastefully placed. The sweater is soft with a slouchy fit. There are no buttons or belt and the sweater is not meant to be worn closed.(in the front). The sweater is very oversized and my size recommendation on the website was a medium -- I usually order large. The medium is acceptable -- so order a smaller size than usual. The size tag is sewn in the seam of the left sleeve on the outside. I am trying ti figure out how best to remove it without cutting the sweater. For that I would deduct 1/2 star if I could. This sweater is a nice casual piece to have for a quick walk to the mailbox on a chilly day, to take to a casual dinner in case the restaurant or location is cool and drafty or to snuggle in while watching TV on a cold night.
