Lovely in every way! The beautiful, luxurious material is silky, yet sturdy with a functional stretch. The detailed sewing leaves nothing to be desired with great stretch endurance in the adjustable straps. The weighted mask makes me feel cozy and tucked into bed while wearing it at night sleeping. My ophthalmologists have highly recommended a sleeping mass to protect my eyes during REM sleeping periods during which everyone’s eyelids flutter and expose their eyes to drying air. Also, my doctors have informed me that whenever a person’s eyelids flutter during sleep, their eyes will catch any little light in the room, even a nightlight, and it becomes distracting, causing repositioning of the body or even waking someone from sleep. The molded wells contoured into the mask allow some space for your eyelids to comfortably open and close, and also are large enough that one could wear the mask during an afternoon nap while wearing makeup without smudging. I now have multiple masks so that I can place several at a time in my washer in a mesh laundry bag to wash on the “cold water” setting on the “gentle” cycle after wearing three days (per my doctors for cleanliness to avoid eye infections), along with my bras and panties. Always allow your sleeping eye mask to be hung and “drip dry,” as you should for your lingerie, to extend the longevity of the fabric of the mask and to maintain the necessary stretch in the mask straps. When I first read “weighted,” I expected it to be a heavier, but once I actually used it, I realized the weight is very comfortable and soothing. I would look for something else if the weight is important to you, though. The eye pockets are perfect, so nothing presses into your eyelids, and the contoured beaded portion feels amazing. It blocks out 100% of the light, which is huge for me. I also love that the soft material goes over your ears instead of the elastic, so there’s no discomfort at all. The adjustable elastic band is wide, secure, and doesn’t dig in. As someone who suffers from migraines, this mask has been a game changer. It came with two, and my husband uses the other one. He loved it just as much. I even pair it with earplugs, and when my husband gets up early, I’m still able to rest peacefully. It’s comfortable and incredibly effective. I’ve used about a dozen eye masks and think that this one might be the best at blocking out light! It’s also extremely comfortable since the molded eye cups keep the mask from pressing against your lashes. The mask is sturdy without being hard so it’s easy to get to sleep wearing it and the adjustable strap means it fits perfectly. No weird scents - it just works well. I haven’t washed it yet, but it seems like it would hold up through a delicate cycle. The only thing I kind of dislike is the branding across the front of the mask, but I prefer it to an obnoxious or uncomfortable tag. Read more
I like these, but I noticed that the shape isn’t always consistent. The nose piece stuck out further on one than the other. On the one that was more flat, I noticed that my eyelashes touched the inside, while that didn’t happen with the other one. So the consistency is a bit lacking. But the one that works the best for me is great and I use it every night! Read more
First of all, Amazing Product!! This very well may be my very first Amazon review. If not, it was so long ago I don't recall. I LOVE these masks. They don't crush your eyes and they actually do what they say they do...BLOCK 100% of the light! I have actually woken up in the morning and wasn't sure until I took off the mask if it was night or day. They are VERY soft and high quality. I love the colors and I LOVE that there are two! I misplace stuff all the time...so if I get up to groggily use the bathroom and place my mask in some weird place...my sleepy self just reaches for the second backup. Since working night jobs for years, I can't sleep without a mask, and the weighted feel is very comfortting. I've tried many masks, and they all had some sort of fault. I purchased these eye masks while I was working weird hours that required me to sleep during the day. They are the only eye masks where I can fall asleep with them on and wake up with them still on. They fit so well and are very comfortable, even sleeping on my side. The material is soft but is not very breathable, so if you run hot they might not be for you. I have since purchased pairs for my family and they all love them as well. They really appreciate being able to open your eyes with them on, and they don't feel claustrophobic. Read more
THE FABRIC IS SOFT AND THE "BEADS" INSIDE ARE "SOFT". THEY TOTALLY BLACK OUT THE LIGHT IF WORN CORRECTLY. IT'S VERY EASY TO ADJUST THE STRAP WHEN THEY ARE ON YOUR EARS. THEY DO HAVE SOME WEIGHT TO THEM BUT ONLY ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM BLACK OUT THE LIGHT. If you're thinking about buying an eye mask, this is the one... 3 reasons why I THINK this is a great product and a great deal: 1) blocks light completely - even when you open your eyes, it'll be like you're in a dark room 2) very comfortable - the weighted version make a huge difference. It feels like a pillow on your eyes. Doesn't slide around. Works well over a CPAP mask. 3) you get TWO for the price of ONE! last week, I purchased a single one for this price...
