First, let’s talk about fit. I got the Large for my 7 year old nonverbal ASD daughter who is in the 95 percentile on the growth chart in hight and weight. In clothing size, she wears an XL or girls size 14. She definitely still has room to grow with this vest but serves its purpose! I have started out with compression only as recommended and will later add the weights as she gets used to wearing it or seems to be seeking more sensory input. Your OT would be the one to ask if this type of vest would benefit your child. Secondly, if you’ve been struggling with therapy sessions like us: aggressive behaviors, inattentive, crying, eloping. This might be worth a try! Since our girl started wearing this during therapy, we have seen her attention to an activity go from maybe a few minutes to 20 min! The deep pressure this vest offers may be what she was seeking and needed this to help her focus. It may not be the most fashionable, but I haven’t seen anything else that offers both compression and weight. I have seen some vests/hoodie type weighted garments without compression that may work too but my daughter definitely seeks the deep pressure input. Read more

My son is 2 and the size of an average 3 year old, so I bought a small. It's slightly big on him for the tightness he likes but the second I put it on him he had the biggest smile. Doesn't talk but his expression said it all. If I take it off he hands it to me to put it back on. He has drastically calmed down from a week ago. He is so much happier than just the compression shirt. It worked for him where there was a noticeable difference the next day we put it on. Wow so incredible. Thank you for producing a product that makes my little man genuinely happy and comfortable. And the shoulders adjust too which is really nice because I can get the vest on and pulled down enough to touch the top of his hips. This is actually two pieces and seems to be a pretty decent material. It's not heavy at all, but it is thick(as in doesn't breathe well). My son gets sweaty on warm days with this on outside, but it's so worth it! I have not tried the weights yet because he seems very happy and calm with the compression of the vest alone, so far. If he is having a bad day, we will try the weights. I will try to remember to comment on that once we've tried it. Read more

Is bulky and uncomfortable when being worn. Not easy to out on quickly. Tried a few times and missed the return window as likely something easier to use. Read more
