Am still getting my 3 1/2 year old used to this. He doesn't want to put it on so we call it a policeman's vest and put a toy police badge on it. We talked about the kevlar vests policemen have to wear to keep them safe. He has finally worn it twice for 30 min. And it did seem to help calm him. Wish there were instructions on how to get them used to it. I googled and found it said a few minutes each time. Read more

I saw a video about ADHD children and using the weighted vest and/or blanket for calming. I was skeptical, but I have tried a dozen things. I must say I was pleasantly surprised on how this works. When she is having a hard time concentrating or having a what I call a "Spin out", I put this vest on her and it's like a different child. There have even been times that she has asked to have it put on. I would absolutely recommend. Read more

My daughter uses this for her figure skating training as a weighted vest. I’m sure it also works great for sensory purposes in children. The vest itself is very nice quality, comfy and cozy, and contains little pockets for fitting in the weights, this way you can easily adjust the weight of the vest—making it heavier or lighter. Durability is great, and also a great value for money. I saw many other weighted vests on Amazon that seemed to be a bit overpriced and not quite the quality this one has.
