I got this to help me with my strength conditioning. I got the 8 lb vest and it's just right. Not too heavy or too light. It fits perfectly and can also be easily adjusted for comfort. I'm starting a walking routine after dinner and this vest is a nice way to build my stamina and energy slowly. You can add weights as you go along, which is nice. Read more
I picked up this 8 lb weighted vest to step up my walking and strength training routine, and overall it’s been a solid addition to my workouts. The weight is just right for adding challenge without feeling overwhelming, and the fitted design stays snug against my torso so it doesn’t bounce around when I walk or do body-weight exercises. It’s made of sturdy material that hasn’t shown wear so far, and I appreciate that the size L fits comfortably around my shoulders and chest. Putting it on and taking it off was straightforward, and I like that it’s versatile enough for walking, jogging, or using during core work. It definitely adds that extra resistance I was looking for, and I’ve noticed I’m getting a bit more out of my regular workouts. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly the fit — because it’s a generic/fitted style, it can feel a bit snug on longer sessions, and I wish there were slightly more adjustable straps or padding around the shoulders for extra comfort. The overall design could use some improvements, but for the price and how well it performs overall, it’s a great value and definitely worth recommending if you want a simple weighted vest to boost your fitness routine. Wearing this vest while hiking gets my heart rate into zone three within a couple of minutes which is great. It has decent construction and an affordable price tag but the profile is off. While it fits, it protrudes on my sides and causes my arms to rub against it (ultimately leading to chafing). I don’t believe it’s just my size (female, 5’8”, 137 lbs, 32B). I think it’s the vest’s design. It’s hard to recommend in general, but I definitely can’t recommend it for anyone with a smaller chest circumference. I’ll be looking for one that doesn’t wrap around my sides. Read more
This weighted vest is comfortable to wear and is a decent weight for increasing effectiveness of exercises. It is easy enough to put on, and it does not cause discomfort beyond having to carry more weight. The quality seems very good, and I expect this vest to last for years and years. The price you pay for the value you get is great. I do recommend this weighted vest. Read more
TLDR version: good vest but might be too big if you are petite. I already have another weighted vest but I got this one in the hopes that it would fit better than the one I have. I have a small build (wear a size small t-shirt) and my existing vest is way too loose and is constantly sliding down my back. This vest, however, fits much better. The design is such that the weight is more evenly distributed around the outer loops that go around the shoulders and under the arms, and the weight on the back sits higher up between the shoulder blades. All of these factors help the weight stay close to the body and in place while walking. However, it is still a bit loose on me even with the front strap tightened as tight as it will go, so if you have a petite frame, this might still be too big for you. If you are medium to large framed / chested, this should be able to expand pretty well to fit you. It should definitely fit snugly to be comfortable. Overall, the vest is well made. The construction is sturdy, it has reflective loops on it where you could clip your keys, it has a little tiny mesh pocket on the back, and the front strap has a little neoprene tab under it to keep it from chafing your chest. I am really happy with this vest and I find it comfortable enough for long walks. I just wish it was designed to be slightly smaller. Read more
this is a great little addition to my walks on my treadmill. I really thought that I would need a heavier vest but after my first walk wearing this, I realized that it is just the right weight and that I really don't want to gain 8 pounds because WOW did it make my walk more tiring! The clasp in the front is easy to buckle and you can change the length of the strap. When I first put it on, my initial thought was that it was pressing on the backs of my shoulders but that sensation went away quickly while I was walking Read more
I should have done more research before ordering. 8lbs and cannot adjust the weight, though if you need to go up you could fill the pouch with some wrist weights, but 8 lbs starting off may he too much for beginners. It's filled with sand and the sand shifts so the weight isn't distributed evenly. I find that the sand bunches under the armpits which makes it uncomfortable while walking. There should be stitching to segment the sand so it doesn't shift so much. One side on the shoulder had very little sand and the other side had some sand on the shoulder so it would be better if the sand couldn't shift do much. I'd prefer a better design and one that has more wight options. I'm and XL and it's pretty big. If you're petite or a xs/s it might be too big, despite the adjustable strap. There's some stretch to it. Read more
It says it's an 8lb weighted vest for Women but Men can wear it as well. 8lbs is considered beginner so it's a good starter weighted vest for me. The workmanship of the weighted vest is very good and it's comfortable to wear even after long walks. The vest has reflective markings as well as a mesh pocket in the back of the vest. I like that there's a padded area that covers the front buckle so it doesn't dig into your chest. The material of the filling per the website says it's "Iron". There is no scent or odor but it's the first time having Iron as a filling. Read more
