They are varying in shades which adds to the bohemian whimsy we desire in our wood finishes. They're sturdy & work beautifully between two sitting chairs - would do well beside a sofa too! A+ Don't hesitate to order these up! you can see in the pics that the tops have a beautiful dark grain swirl - it will blend with ANY decor! I love this table! It's exactly what I had hoped it would be! I was concerned about the packaging after reading other reviews, but my table arrived just fine. It was packed very well with bubble wrap around the legs and cardboard to keep it from moving around in the box. The heavy duty box was also marked fragile.
