This type of belt has worked great for me. My body is female, obese, with a narrow waist & flat butt. So, when I wear pants there's surplus fabric in the back that gaps out. When I wear pants with a belt the belt slips up off the pants and then underneath the buckle the fabric gaps out. This style of belt eliminates both problems: it closes the gap in the back and because I snap the closure onto the last belt loops in the front, there is no buckle pop on the belly. All the fabric is cinch in and to exactly the right amount because of the sliding sizer on the elastic.
