The best treat toy I ever bought was a Kong in the shape of a cube. It got discontinued several years ago before I could stockpile and I’ve been babying the one we have ever since while seeking a replacement. Decided to give this one a try and couldn’t be more pleased. Number and size of treats does seem to have an impact on how long it takes to empty it, but when I get it right it can keep my border collie going for about an hour. It’s proven durable and the bouncing/rolling keeps my dog busy and happy. I recommend Blue Buffalo Health Biscuits. You can fit at least two whole ones when you squeeze the toy for placement. This toy is amazing and holds up really well. It’s very sturdy and keeps them busy for quite a while. One of my dogs, who is aggressive in his chewing, has not put a dent in it. Love that you can put challenging treats to get out. That it rolls around and easy to chew with. My big dog and little dog like it. The little dog has an easier time getting treats out Read more

I purchased this slow feeder and both the small and large topple for my cockapoo puppy, currently 12lbs at the time of writing. Feeding him only kibble, the openings are too big and within 5 minutes he’s done eating. If I mix wet and kibble, it will last longer, but I need to very particular about the mix consistency and packing to make sure that he can get all of the food out. On the other hand the small topple is absolutely amazing especially frozen. My pup will eat his food for up to 1hr which is fantastic for the both of us. If you have a choice go for the topple. This product is good, but the topple is a cut above the rest, even Kong as my dog doesn’t engage as much on that either. Read more

Because it's not a perfect sphere, this toy rolls and bounces in different directions than your dog will expect. It also makes a funny sound when bouncing across a hard floor. Our working breed pup loves chasing this thing around, swatting it out of the air when thrown, and giving it a good chew. Also seems resistant to chewing damage (ours made quick work of numerous "durbable" chew toys, so he's no slouch when it comes to sending them to an early grave). In terms of the "hide a treat" feature, it's not required to keep a dog's interest but if you want to do that, it will work best with dry treats that are roughly the size of a large acorn (kibble-sized treats will fall out too easily). Overall, can happily recommend this if you're looking to add something different to your collection of bones, balls, and other typical dog toys. Read more

The holes to put in the treats, most of the treat come out as soon as the ball is pushed. There is only 1 hole for "dispensing' treats, but as stated prior, all the treats come back out if the input. A prior ball I had, had a much better design Material quality if fine Read more

We have two very active medium-sized dogs who can get easily bored. These treat dispensers are game changers. If I just want to do a little bit of distraction, I add some kibble and a couple of larger treats. For longer play, I add big chunks of treat from those giant dog sausage rolls, and that keeps them going for some time. My female is very smart and knows to smash the toy to break up the treats, and then roll it with her nose so that the pieces will fall out. Brilliant. My boy pup just loves to lick at it for ages, and carry it around to ensure nobody takes it. You can even add a slurry of cream cheese and kibble and freeze it for a cooler treat that'll take them a bit to lick out. These dispensers can be put in the top rack of the dishwasher, which I do every few days. Read more
