Most companies like to add stuff into the glue sticks to make them "stickier", but this company seems to be on the cheaper end for that, so don't try this with anything super critical. I mainly use the glue sticks for various repair jobs around the house, but I've also been using a bunch for effectively "3D printing" a new headband for my headphones, using the glue to sculpt the headband manually. With these glue sticks, somehow after a couple days, they'd lose grip on the metal in the band on my headphones and slip free, rotating in place as if it was plain plastic and no adhesive. I thought maybe this was just a "normal" issue since headphone bands bend and flex as the headphones are worn, but then the band I made with the glue started slipping entirely, sliding up and down the metal freely, rotating and all. I gave up and cut the "band" off with no trouble. For giggles, I bought Gorilla Glue branded hot glue sticks for about the same price at my local Walmart to give myself something to compare to, but surprise! the GG sticks actually stick very well, and my headphones are still fully-intact a few weeks later, no loss of adhesion despite the Gamer Grease building up. Either way, that's more of an odd use case, and the Westcott stuff is fine, everything else I glued is still okay, even after a month or two, including a doorknob that sees a ton of use. Read more
