This is a truly beautiful western-style belt loaded with fine details. It is comfortable to wear, very attractive and makes a terrific statement without being garish or overdone. It is extremely versatile and can be worn on jeans or slacks with belt loops, or above the hips over a blouse, a dress or even a jacket. The belt has a nice weight and heft to it, which helps it fit nicely and stay in place. It’s made of synthetic leather, which is extremely supple and soft feeling. For example, I can easily twist the belt back-and-forth, and it moves smoothly without having that stiffness that is sometimes present in belts made of artificial leather. Consequently, the belt conforms nicely to my waist and shape without binding or feeling in the way. I chose the brown color, which looks about the same as the picture on the product page. I like the color a lot. The belt has a nice embossed sun or floral pattern. The real stand-out on this belt are the wonderfully ornate and decorative metal fittings. In the brown color belt they are a luxurious antiqued bronze gold color. All the metal work parts have intricate embossed patterns which are highlighted in black. The belt buckle is large, generous and solid metal. Running along the entire length of the belt are seven decorative metal lozenges. These are actually held in place by screws and give the belt an excellent three-dimensional appearance. The tongue of the belt is capped by a heavy metal end peace, which looks terrific. I have a size 35 waist and according to the size chart on the product page I could have taken a size Large. But I wanted the belt to extend a bit longer so I ordered the XL, which does fit me at the shortest belt loops. So indeed size Large would fit me fine. And I would say if you are ordering the belt, you should be safe ordering your true size. This is a high-quality belt, which is well-made, and mine had no manufacturing defects or problems. It is durable and I expect it to last a long time. At a price of around $20 I think this belt is a fine value for the cost. Read more
Belt serves its function very well. I’m hard to size in belts but this one seems to fit well enough. The details are nice, the hardware feels real and looks good. It’s not leather, and feels not even like fake leather. It feels more like plastic or even rubber. Read more
This is a gorgeous, sturdy, well-made belt that looks great with a pair of jeans! I fell in love with this belt the moment I pulled it out of the long plastic bag protecting it. It feels nice in the hands because the metal design elements are well-made and properly attached. My images show what I am talking about. In my first image, I show the package as it arrived. The brand name appears, then the words, "Love, Encircling You." How incredibly clever! My second image shows the belt outside the package, still inside the protective plastic belt-long plastic bag, along with a card that says, "Best Wishes for You." It goes on to cite a Bible verse following some additional text. I love this kind of thing! Positivity and good wishes for the customer are a wonderful gesture! When was the last time you saw this when you bought something in your local store? My third image is a close-up of the belt buckle, showing the quality of the hardware. My fourth image details the quality of the design elements themselves. Cheap belts use rivets to fasten the conches and whatnot, but this high-quality belt is made with Phillips-head screws. The bottom shows the front of an element, and the top shows how this element is affixed with screws. This is remarkable in a belt at this price, making this an outstanding buy! The belt fits me great! My bare waist measures 38" and my hips are 41". I considered getting the Large, since I don't like too much leftover belt hanging around. But some of my pants ride lower on the hips, so I worried that the Large might be too small. The XL turned out to be perfect! According to the seller's recommended sizing, it seems the belts run small. I am thrilled with this belt. It is already my favorite and will probably remain so for a long time. I highly recommend it! The reason I ordered this belt has more to do with the “Vintage” rather than the “Country” look of it… I’m definitely more into Boho than Cowgirl style! I'm impressed with the vintage-looking metal parts... the buckle, medallions, and end tip. All are nicely engraved and tarnished, which adds to their vintage appeal. The belt leather is beautifully embossed in a repeating pattern. Neither the pattern on the leather nor on the metal screams cowgirl or western motif, thankfully! And even though this belt is made of faux synthetic leather, it still has the weight and substance of a more expensive leather belt with brass fittings. The type of metal used for the buckle and metal parts is not identified, but they come across as classy, antiqued brass. As for belt size, I have a 35-inch waist, so I ordered the large. I wish I had ordered the XL, though, which would allow for more styling options. The size large only fits at my waist, with not much room to spare. I love the way this belt looks on the slender models pictured, but I don’t usually display my pant waist with a belt. More often, I camouflage my waist under a top. Had I ordered this belt in the XL, I would probably wear it lower, over a long shirt or tunic. In that case, the weighted metal tip could be stylishly tucked over and under the belt. This belt is so impressive looking and feeling that it would also make an excellent, yet affordable, gift. Though quite reasonably priced, for an item that seems more expensive, that’s a valuable rarity nowadays! Read more
