I have 8 down sleeping bags including Marmot, Sierra Designs and Woods. In fact, I have a 0 degree Marmot, but it's 650 fill. I wanted a lighter 0 degree bag and decided to get the supposed cream of the crop (this bag) even though it cost considerably more than the other bags I was looking at. It is such an impressive bag. The workmanship and quality is so obvious. The MF (microfiber) shell is amazing. My sleeping pad has lot of down quills stuck to it, but not from this bag. None appear to escape from it. The loft is incredible. I took it into the Wind River range the end of Sep. Water froze at night, but I was actually too warm in the Kodiak. Looking forward to using it in actual winter months. Out of the box this bag lives up to its billing. It is beautifully stitched. It lofts amazingly. After much research and looking at some other WM bags in person I knew what I was paying for. May be a little expensive for someone that is just getting into camping. If you take your gear seriously you know the value of high end gear. Now all I need is some nice brisk weather and a hunting trip to the mountains to try it out. Read more
