Of course I was expecting perfection, it's a Western Mountaineering bag. And they delivered. I have two WMs, a 20F and this -10F, and this is the one I take when I'm going anywhere between 30 and -10. I sleep like a baby without many layers. I just took this to Utah where it was -3 at my camping location at 10K', and I was so content. I really debated between the Kodiak and the Lynx, and I'm really glad I went for the Lynx. You can always unzip a bag a little to dump a little heat, but you can't make a bag warmer than it is capable of being. The construction of these bags can't be beat, and the temperature ratings are for comfort, not survival. I sleep cold so this is really important to me.
