13 Month Update: I have been sleeping on down pillows for nearly 4 decades, and these are by far the best quality I've ever used. These have held up perfectly after a year. They still plump up immediately after sleeping & hold their shape very well. They are just as plush as when they came out of the bag and just as soft and supportive as when I slept on them the first time. I have had absolutely zero quill pokes and no feathers have ever escaped. Original Review: Two months ago I stayed at a Westin Hotel and have not been able to stop thinking about how light, fluffy and comfortable their down pillows were. I was delighted to learn they sell all the things in the rooms online. This is the first of several things I plan on purchasing. I am extremely happy. I like that the outer case is 100% cotton and that there is 50% down and 50% feathers. That’s a high down count. It holds its shape really well (so far) and is very light and fluffy. Will update review once I’ve used it and washed it. There is some evidence of feathers coming through just a little - and you can see the darker feathers through the case - but that seems for the par for a down pillow. They are pricy but I’ve purchased pricier ones from other brands that I ended up returning - the quality far surpasses the more expensive ones I’ve tried. I have purchased this pillow twice, the first time after staying in a Westin about 8 years ago and finding their pillows don't hurt my neck. The first one was great, but sadly I left it behind in a hotel room last year. I bought another one as a replacement. The new one reminds me of a regular poly filled pillow, it doesn't compress around the neck like most down pillows do. It's almost like the cotton casing is too thick and the air between the feathers can't escape. I've given it several months thinking time would help. It hasn't. Read more

I know some people review this pillow and claim that it's not the same as when they stay at a Westin-brand hotel, but I honestly thing that when dealing with something as subjective as pillow comfort, your mileage will also vary because it's subjective. This pillow is great. I had one for two years and made the mistake of trying to wash it - which the tag says you can do - and it completely ruined it. The pillow case itself is so high quality that it was virtually impossible to get all the moisture out because it's not extremely permeable. So I bought two more and couldn't be happier with them. If it was truly and more easily washable, it'd be 5 stars. Read more

The first 5 hours were great but it got worse from there….. I was so excited about buying this pillow. I just got out of the hospital from a 6 week stay but while I was in I bought one of these pillows. I love the Westin pillows at the hotels so it was going to be heavenly to have it in the hospital pillows. It looked wonderful when it arrived and everybody was ogling over my new purchase, hospital staff and all. This pillow is nothing like the ones in the hotel. I just spent WAY too much money on a pillow I could have bought from Walmart. Which Walmart is fine but I was expecting Westin quality. Oh, and no returns so think long and hard before you buy. Maybe you will want to know exactly about the pillow. It is nice and fluffy when you get it but your head sinks to the bottom and the pillow never recovers. That is fine if you like this but what I loved about the Westin Hotel pillows was that they DIDNT sink ALL the way to the bottom. Thats what made them so comfortable.
