The incandescent bulbs in my microwave kept burning out quickly, so I needed an LED bulb. This claims to be dimmable, but it doesn't dim in old school pwm (pulse width modulation) dimmers. My overhead microwave has a high and low setting, and this bulb flickers on the low setting. So I just leave it on the high setting, which doesn't flicker. Otherwise it's nice and bright. Read more

Arrived quickly in good condition considering it was not in a padded envelope. Replaced old blown range hood bulb and it works well, at least at full power. Good bright white is actually better than the old bulb. It is definitely not dimmable since it flickers on low, but that is fine since we do not use it on low. Stove hood has a normal, low, off type push button switch but we never used low anyway. Very happy it is brighter than the old bulb - not by a huge amount but enough to make a difference. I always wanted to get a brighter bulb for the hood, but it wasn't a priority, so I'm glad the old one finally blew and I found this replacement. Read more

I needed a replacement for an incandescent bulb in a Kitchen Aid refrigerator, which is apparently Whirlpool part WPL-WP548049. I haven't been able to find much in the way of spec information on this bulb from a number of Whirlpool Corp affiliated websites, so I'm not certain that this Westinghouse bulb is completely to spec with that part. The Westinghouse bulb minimum starting temperature as noted on the box is -10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit). This is fine for a refrigerator, but is NOT suitable for a freezer. Most freezers in the USA operate at -18 C (0 F). So the review: I replaced the old bulb with this. This new bulb works. I've opened my refrigerator since a few times, and the bulb still works. I expect the bulb will easily outlast the operational lifespan of the refrigerator. However, I'll update this review if the bulb fails in the next few years (and I remember). Read more

These are brighter than the old style and do not get nearly as hot! The older style burns your finger .Two settings high and nighttime. Mine dim with no problem as opposed to other reviewers. Happy to have a longer lasting energy conservation bulb. Old style burned out way too fast. Good job Westinghouse! Hurry up before the price goes way up ! Read more

The lights failed after several months of normal use not the 3 years advertised. I contacted Westinghouse support and they immediately sent replacements, hopeful they will last longer. Read more

Works great in my Whirlpool microwave. Its bright ,fit perfectly and does not flicker on high or low. I like that the LED is not as hot or fragile as incandescent bulbs. It was a good price and LED's use less energy, saving even more money. I can't know how long it will last but so far I am happy and would buy this bulb again.
