These actually work and seal well. Put the rough side down against the vacuum sealer and the tiny bubbles in the rough side allow all the air to be sucked out. The top side is smooth and has a big white box to write on and that is where I label the bag's contents. They are nice and thick and don't break open in the freezer. They are precut to the right size to put 2 to 4 portions in. They save us a lot of money because I cook in bulk and freeze meals in them and all I have to do is open up a bag and reheat the contents. I also buy chicken and pork chops in bulk and put 2 to 4 pieces in each bag and they stay fresh in the freezer for 6 months or more. I make homemade dog food in large batches and then vacuum seal and freeze individual daily portions. This is my first time ordering this brand and am really impressed. The bags are thicker and they seal great, allowing all the air to be sucked out of each bag. I packaged 60 meals yesterday and everyone of the bags sealed quickly. I have used multiple brands over the years and have run into a few brands with low quality which means I have to adjust the bag a few times to try and get a good seal. These bags worked great. The newest upgrade for the product is the self contained box that is perfect for storage and easy to access for use! They are the perfect size for one pound of ground meat or a ribeye steak!
