These feel heavy in your hand, like the lead crystal glasses that no one wants to make anymore. But there's no lead in them, so you can relax. The glass -- being glass, and not crystal -- isn't as clear as something from Waterford. But this also means you don't have to worry about it being chipped or broken, because replacing it would not be nearly as expensive. So you can actually use it, instead of keeping it hidden away for special occasions. The pattern in the glass is classic, in the sense of being unremarkable. You notice it, it seems right, and your attention moves from the glass to the whiskey that you have in it. Which is where your attention should be. I'm replacing my accidental collection of whiskey and bourbon glasses with an intentional collection, which includes these. They have the right look and feel, they have enough room for whatever you'd like to put in them (whiskey or bourbon neat, rocks, or in some kind of cocktail). It's unfortunate that there is a visible seam that remains from the manufacturing process. It's not a big deal, but everything else is so nice done that it feels a little like a small coffee stain on a white couch. This flaw stands out precisely because there are no others. Read more

This review is for the Whiskey Glasses, Bourbon Glass 11 oz, Whiskey Glasses Set of 2, Old Fashioned Glasses, Whisky Glass Sets. These dishwasher-safe glasses should survive more than a few occasions without breaking; they are strong enough to share with friends or invitees without losing one accidentally when party gets going. They don't look or feel anywhere near premium as other glasses I own, but for the price, you can't ask for anything more. There is a big difference between crystal and glass and these are more on the glass side. They are supposed to be lead-free (they better be!) and can fill many different drinks, not only Whiskey. Lastly, they don't look as shiny in person as they look on the product's page but that shouldn't deter you from buying and keeping them in that cabinet where you store the not-so-delicate stuff you use on special occasions. As of this writing, they were offered at 20% discount, and that's what I would pay for them without hesitation if I was out of Whiskey glasses. Are you? Read more
