I was totally surprised by both image quality and software features, with easy iPhone app setup and WiFi connectivity in less than 10 minutes for viewing and feature settings. Deciding where and how to place it took a little longer, with a photo of it on the top shelf in a corner of my living room. I decided not to use the included white power cable, deciding instead to use a spare black 5V 750ma charger plus a spare black extension cord for a lower visibility setup. You can’t even see that power connection since the wires are zip tied down the back of the rack. From that location, two photos taken live stream over a cellular connection away from home show the high def wide angle view and a zoom into that view showing my cat asleep in her cat tree. Wow! Not shown in any attached photo, night vision is also superb. Last night, with all lights off in our almost pitch black living room, the built-in infrared camera light (invisible to the naked eye but visible in the video where it reflected off the glass next to our cat tree) illuminated the room to crystal clear viewing almost identical to the daytime photo attached. Another Wow! Although using wired power for continuous nanny cam mode, I did do a little battery testing. I haven’t had it long enough to test the advertised battery life in low power settings as a security cam. But to stress test the battery life I ran it in continuous mode and was able to record over two hours at the highest power consumption and video resolution, capturing over two hours as a video on my iPad for playback. So, if planning to run on battery pay very close attention to the recommended settings. Bottom line, I am very happy and would buy it again without bothering to do another comparison. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Update: I've seen a few reviews saying the unit just stopped working. It has happened to me recently. To fix it, I hit the reset button and went through the setup again. It works like new. One issue was the card reader that is included did something to the included SD card and could never be formatted again. The card never registered on any reader device. I had to replace the SD card. Amazing picture quality and features for such a small camera. I use it for both indoor and dash cam monitoring. Easy to switch back and forth. It's easy to set up, but, it took a little experimenting to use as a dash cam. The settings can only be changed when connected to wifi. A bonus would be if the manufacturer would include Bluetooth. For dash cam, continuous record, turn off motion detection and turn off wifi. Boom, clear crisp video. I did experience a slight hiccup that the video stopped recording when I was on a rough gravel road. Perhaps the SD card was getting hammered? Overall, I recommend this little fun jewell. Read more
What a RIP OFF. Nowhere in the description for this item does it state that this device only comes with One (1) Year of Cloud Storage. In fact, in the description for this item, it states "FREE CLOUD STORAGE", and nothing on the Package states that it only comes with One (1) Year of Cloud Storage. You don't realize that your Year is up when the Camera STOPS WORKING. When your subscription expires, they want you to pay an additional $51.00 for a yearly subscription. Are you people serious. The Camera came with a year sunscription of Cloud Storage and only costs $42.46, an in fact, it is now 21% off, which means you can buy it now for $30.00, but now you want me to pay more then what the Camera costs for another year subscription. Had I been "INFORMED" that this device required a Subscription Renewal after One (1) Year, I WOULD HAVE NEVER OF PURCHASED THIS ITEM. I BELIEVE that as a buyer, We should be INFORMED that this device requires a Subscription in order to make an informative decision as to whether we want to purchase this item, HOWEVER, we are being denied that information in order for the seller to make more sales, thereby misleading the buyers. Had I known at the time that I received this item that it required a Subscription after One (1) Year, I would have RETURNED this item and found a Camera that DID NOT require a Subscription in order to work. Without a active Subscription, this Camera DOES NOT Connect to the App and therefore is useless. Read more
This little video camera is a great value, It didn't let me connect to my 2.4ghz internet connection, but it eventually let me connect to the cameras own WIFI, which it says when I connected to it, that it's connected to my phone but has no internet.. but it still allowed me to use the video camera without WIFI, which is fine with me. The quality is good and the clarity of the videos are really good. The sound does sound like a bunch of high pitch noises.. But everything else is great, app is easy to read and understand. But the setup was bit troublesome.. But I still would recommend. I use mine for surveillance on certain days of the week.. I just wish the gave at least 3 mounts, so I could place the mounts in different places and just move the camera from mount to mount.. I'm pretty sure you can make your own makeshift mount, but I will still be buying more in the future.. Read more
The cameras are very good. Get about a weeks worth of recording at highest quality with 256 gb card. Love long life battery backup. App interface somewhat awkward and no allways so intuitive. Somewhat hard to use, learn. The only way I can figure out how to transfer video is awkward, takes a lot of steps and is time consuming, especially if a large batch. Read more
A nice, sharp picture and clear sound from such a small unit. Plugging and playing on my MacAir was quick and easy, no extra software required. Caveats: I was never able to synch it with any wifi. It simply didn't recognize the routers to scan the enclosed QR code. And: though when in place it does seem to be triggered by motion, it also turns on randomly, shooting about 40 x 5:03 clips, one every ten or twelve minutes, until the battery dies after 5-6 hours. (It was placed in an empty room, to watch cats.) Also note: you'll need a USB-C adapter to use in most computers, since its mini-SD card uses an older USB-A plug. Read more
