This backpack is made very well. It’s nice and sturdy. It’s the perfect size for my Kindergartener and kids in the lower grades. It has two compartments. One for books and such and one slightly smaller compartment for a change of cloths or paper spiral notebooks, etc. My son loves it. We also bought the matching lunch box. When it gets too dirty, I’ll throw it in the machine. Update: My son ended up using the backpack from Kinder to Second grade and it still looks brand new. No rip, tears or anything else negative happening. Only negative I can see is it might be a little kiddish for a third grader, therefore, we bought him another pack more age appropriate. Things change with Manufacturing and I’ve read some of the negative reviews. My son’s backpack came with the mesh side pocket but not the fancy fabric on the packs back straps. Can’t remember if that was a selling feature at the time I bought this one. It’s not right when you make a decision to buy a product based on what you see, then receive the product and they send you something totally different. In our case we got what we ordered. The lunch box didn’t fair so well and with daily use, it got quite nasty on the inside but the outside still looked great. I haven't even put this to use yet but I already love it. I made the purchase for my son who will be going to school/daycare this coming school year. I needed something to pack his lunch, change of clothes, drink, etc. I felt a backpack would be a better purchase instead of sending him with my diaper bag, since he'll need a backpack anyway for preschool and kindergarten. And this backpack is the perfect size. It's too big for him right now of course (1 year old), but it's the perfect size for holding his lunch (I purchased a Kid Konserve Insulated Lunch Sack and it's a perfect fit in the large backpack compartment). The backpack has a second smaller pouch that will be a great spot for his sippy cup and a change of clothes. As he gets older and he takes different things with him to school, I feel like this bag will be able to grow with him. It's very sturdy - the fabric is thick and the construction is sound. And of course I love the design. My son loves anything with wheels so I hope he can enjoy this pattern as much as I do. I wanted a transporation theme without getting something branded, and this fits the bill perfectly. Nicely padded adjustable straps, two large compartments (with pouches in the smaller of the two), great design, and the perfect size for little kids that I can easily carry for him now and he'll easily be able to strap on his back when he's bigger. I bought this backpack for my 3 year old grandson last year and it is still going strong. He loves the rescue vehicles on the backpack. He uses it regularly for preschool and when traveling in a car or on a plane. It is perfect for his size and holds quite a bit. It is durable and the zippers are strong but easy for a toddler to use. Books, toys, clothes, snacks, lunchbox, water bottles all fit inside. Great product! Read more

Love the quality, size, and look of this pack! Ordered for my tall 3 1/2 year old to take to a 1/2 day preschool. He takes lunch, extra clothes, a 1" binder, a water bottle, and occasionally other clothing, etc. This seems to be a great size for his body and for the stuff we're taking to and from school. No problems fitting 8 1/2x11" paper and notebooks! The fabric and zippers seem of MUCH better than his last bag, a Cars-themed pack, the zipper of which busted after a few months of use. So far so good; I'm anticipating that this will be a nice durable bag to last him a few years. The outer pocket doesn't get much use, but seems great for an elementary kid to store other school supplies. My only wish would be for an exterior or interior drink pouch to keep a water bottle in place, but I'm overall very happy with this purchase. I'd definitely buy other products from the company. We have two of these backpacks in two prints for my 5 yr old and my 7 yr old and they are great! They are good size for them, not too big but big enough that they can use them for several years. They have plenty of storage for all their school and travel needs. The water bottle holder holds their bottles perfectly. Quality material and construction. We bought the black camo at the beginning of the school year for kindergarten and it will be used for 1st grade too. I choose this one due to it's 15in size and design. Design was not flashy or kiddy. I looked for 15in so the bookbag wouldn't be too big on my son's back. Maybe the only thing I didn't like was the bookbag was puffy, it was not slender when not filled up. That's nitpicking though, it still looked great and didn't look unnecessarily huge. It was able to fit my son's hoodies, his 2 pocket folder from the school supply list, my son's lunch pack, a 16 oz water bottle and the many art projects my son brought home. Some of his art were on large poster board that were folded in half to make it home. Read more
