This stiff is delicious. I love the firm texture and the mild but pleasant flavor. It is great for stir fry or other cooked dishes compared to using plain tofu. It holds up its firmness and texture and does not break down. It goes well on the grill as BBQ'd tofu as well. It is super easy and fast to cook, and adds a great dose of protein to vegetarian & vegan dishes. Read more
One of my fave tofu products. Perfect for adding to a salad. I like to cook a bunch on my stovetop to improve the texture, and then add them to salads over the week. They also freeze well. The texture does changes and gets more crumbly, but overall is still good. So you can buy a bunch while it's on sale and then freeze them for later. Read more
I bought this because I thought it'd be like Asian tofu gan (the type that has a nicely browned exterior), but it's not. It's just some dense, firm tofu in the mildest, least tasty teriyaki sauce I've ever had the misfortune of trying. So the tofu itself is pretty good, but the sauce is pointless. Don't bother getting this for the flavor, because there isn't any. Read more

If a tofu purest, then this may not be for you. I ordered this to add very few and fine strips to a hijiki seaweed salad, which I have not made yet, and used 1/2 of this package for hot and sour soup. The flavor and especially the dryer texture / consistency was perfect in the soup. It held it’s form and very umami tasty. I will recommend for the umami flavor, and texture, not smoky, but very tasty and has a good firmer bite than the unflavored tofu. I look forward to making hijiki and using saute’d tofu strips added to the hijikisalad. BTW, I was able to purchase dried hijiki saweed on the Amazonian! Read more

This is not the same quality as the beloved baked tofu made by the Tofu Shoppe in Northern California that I used to buy years ago. The tofu is barely cooked and doesn't have the chewy, satisfying texture of actual baked tofu. The tofu slabs are just marinated in the (bland, watery) teriyaki sauce in the bag rather than baked in it, so the flavor is more uncooked tofu than teriyaki. When I open the bags, the marinade invariably spills all over the place and makes a mess. I guess this is a decent convenience food - and pretty inexpensive compared to other vegan products - but I sure wish it stacked up to the other baked tofu I've enjoyed. Read more
