These arrived in perfect condition. They seem fragile, but I have used them multiple times (wash by hand) and even with a little bump here and there, they didn't crack or chip. The stems are quite long, and I found they would not fit in my kitchen shelves, so I had to find another place for storage. Overall the glasses are lovely and have a decent weight to them. The stem is a bit long, so be careful when holding between fingers. Upon arrival, each glass has a "haze". If giving as a gift, it's best for them to ship to you first. Though hard to polish, also look for fingerprint smudges, which 3 of mine had. I polished with a cloth best I could before giving as a gift. They are a decent crystal-glass, and to make them SHINE before use, wash carefully with hot water and just a touch of bleach with a little soap. That has always been a shining trick with glassware/crystal. Bleach scares people, however do not be. A little bit makes the difference!! Let the recipient know that; if you can. I would buy again!
