I recently found out from the borough I live in has higher levels of PFAs. My family and I haven’t used the tap water in years, going from Brita filters and bottled water, now we have spring water dispenser and have water delivered monthly. At that point the water wasn’t dangerous to drink so we used the tap water to fill our dog’s water bowls. When we heard about the unsafe increase in levels of PFAs in the water recently, my husband and I had to make a decision; either order more jugs of spring water, or look at getting a filter. We looked at the Brita jug and filters that hook up to your sink both countertop and under the sink. We decided to go with this one because it had great reviews, it was small enough where it wouldn’t take up a lot of room under the sink, and the filter life is 8000 gallons. It took about 30 min for my husband to install. We have a farmhouse apron double basin kitchen sink. We previously had a faucet and a separate sprayer on the right when we first bought the house. Since then we changed the faucet to a pull down sprayer bar faucet and that separate sprayer hole we placed a metal piece to close it. We were able to use that existing hole for the filter. Due to the size of the hole my husband had to go to Home Depot to get a metal washer with rubber piece to ensure the fit in the sink would work. I think he spent $5 or less which is worth it considering the great price of the filter itself. Since it’s been installed it’s worked wonderfully!! I was worried that with how small the filter was that it would take a bit longer to fill the dogs bowl, but that’s not the case! I was pleasantly surprised by the water pressure! With 3 dogs we have to fill their water bowls frequently. I’ve tried the water myself and it definitely filters out all of the chemicals you can taste in the water. And it says in the description that it removes PFAs so this filter is a life saver for us giving my dogs filtered water, free of PFAs and saving us money. Couldn’t be happier with this product! The media could not be loaded. I have installed many water filters over the years, and this one was the simplest yet. I had been struggling with two different brands of filters that connect to the faucet end, and was getting frustrated with leaking connectors that couldn't quite meet up with the internal threading. I had an undersink reverse osmosis filter in the past, so I gave this one a try as something in- between. The only hard part of the install was drilling through my stainless steel sink, either use a good step bit or small metal bit and widen the hole incrementally so as not to dent or damage the sink. After that, the rest of the install was a breeze, and leak free the first time. We have been using it for a month now, and the water quality is fine. I appreciate not having the filter in the way on my sink end or the inevitable waste of mistakenly having the sink end filter turned on while washing dishes. it is a good, clean look, and for the same price as a faucet mounted unit, you can have a bigger and longer lasting filter out of sight. So I purchased the The Wingsol Model WS-QC-001(F). Everything was straightforward to install, but I didn't like the plastic adapters they included on the valve itself. I opted not to use them and mount the valve I line with the faucet line-fittings. They wanted you to mount it at the main valve itself. If you picked up better hardware at the store, it'd work better. The plastic ones have a bad O-ring that kept unseating itself when it was tightened, which caused it to leak. But that's my only gripe about it, just get better adapter fittings and you'll be fine. The filter worked great, water tasted much better afterwards! Read more

Surprised by this kit. Got it in Sept 2023.. waited to put up a review... Well mostly procrastinated on it. But it's been great. I only remembered because I was about to clean the sink and thought about changing the filter soon... I think it's once a year. Has been like 8 months that we primarily use it for drinking water. Was hesitant to install bcuz it's a rental. we stopped getting cases of bottled water. I use it to fill my water kettle for boiling n use it for cooking too. The taste is good. Water flows well. The size and ease of changing the filter is really simple, life of it is 1yr or so depending on usage, and the water is very clear. It's not too big to fit underneath anywhere the sink... And there's plenty of hose included so i was able to mount it with the provided screws in a good spot. *Note* don't be surprised that when u put a new filter that the water isn't clear... Let it run for 1-2min... And you'll see it clear up. Also the end of the faucet can rotate left n right without the base moving. Just don't get too forceful with it. It's made of plastic. But it's held up well Read more
