This is one of the best machines of ANY kind, I have ever purchased!!! The 3 digit meter accurately tells you when the dust or anything is in the air and is easy to understand. I tested it by shaking out a blanket near it. The numbers went up to about 100 and as the air cleaned, slowly went back down to 5. That is very clean air. It has 4 speeds and a variable speed motor that is VERY quiet and a pleasant tone when running. Highly recommended. This Winix T810 is a pretty good purifier. I took a gamble by not seeing many reviews on it yet as it is new product this year. I had returned A Levoit 400S because of a strong odor coming from it even after running it for a few weeks. This purifier is quite similar in design but with no odor. It looks nice, seems to clean good and is quiet. It is lightweight as I move it from living area to bedroom at night. I leave it on number one or two fan speed at night and is fine for sleeping. On number 3 I can still watch tv in living room while it is running. Number 4 is fairly loud but not terrible. The light can be shut off at night if you want your room dark for sleeping. The only down that I noticed is that it takes a little longer to remove strong cooking odors than I expected. Overall a good purifier. Read more

Item is as advertised. I have had other air purifiers in the past from Honeywell and Dyson, but neither of them work as well as the Winix models. I have three different ones from Winix; they all perform well and very sturdy. There is a fine mesh screen which can be cleaned and the filters are easy to replace. I have two senior dogs and after running the purifier for about a day, no more dog smells in the house! I am impressed to say the least. I don't understand how their Plasma Technology works, but it works. The air comes out very clean and fresh is the best way I can describe it. Read more

Update 3 hrs after writing the below review: The Air Cleaner stopped working. It gave an error 02 so I followed through on cleaning the sensor after searching for what the error was. Plugged it back in, did an air filter reset and noticed the fan didn’t come on. Just quit working like that. So I’m returning this for a refund. The documentation is terrible for this as is any online help for troubleshooting. I’ve only been using this for a of month. We use it in our great room so it’s 20x15’ and cathedral ceilings. The very fine dust seems to be better but there’s still some fuzzies and other stuff that lands on furniture. I’m sure it comes out of the carpet even though we vacuum often and just had it cleaned. We had a burned food issue one day and it kicked into high gear and identified larger particles and the fan speed went up. I had to turn on our whole house fan to get some of the smoke out but it kept working after the visible was gone. Seemed like it was cleaning well. The fan on a daily basis is hardly noticeable but when it kicks up for something else it’s a little louder but not bad. Interestingly my wife sprayed some Febreeze after a salmon dinner and it identified it as something not good and kicked up a little bit and ran that way quite awhile. I feel like it should be picking up more of the larger stuff like fuzzies but at least we have seen improvement in the very small dust. I’ve vacuumed it out as instructed and it’s easy to do and doesn’t take long. I can see some of the larger stuff on the outside netting cover of the filter so it’s getting some of that larger stuff. The filter is difficult to see what condition it’s in since it’s black and the inside is another filter I think for even smaller stuff. I think this is the filter that they say you might hear like a static shock from it occasionally which we have not. It’s easy to disassemble and reassemble and clean and replace the filter when it comes time. The app works well. My only complaint is that it takes its sleep time queue from ambient light. So it may run at night but the light are all off and it always sounds quiet if I happen to walk by it in the dark. I’d like to see it work all the time and was hoping this was adjustable but it’s not. The app tells you what it’s running at and your indoor and outdoor air quality and has other controls that let you kick it up if you think it needs it. I would also recommend to use an email address that’s not going to need changing when you set it up. I am in the middle of changing mine and stupidly I set it up on the old one. The machine has to be completely reset and you have to create a new account to change your email. These companies that don’t allow for updating email addresses really are frustrating. I do like this product and think it’s working well. Recommendation is based more on space than anything. I’m not sure you could get one machine and expect it to clean the air in your whole house unless it’s part of the furnace/AC system. Read more

My in-laws gifted me a Winix C545 Air Purifier for our living room and it made a noticeable improvement in the air quality; so when I decided I wanted an air purifier for our bedroom, I knew a Winix air purifier would probably be the way to go, but I wanted to explore all my options. I spent a couple weeks researching air purifiers. I started with some general research about what to look for in a high quality, high performance air purifier; and from there I looked into various brands, models, product specs, customer reviews, etc. Ultimately, I chose the Winix T810.
