I bought two different styles of sunrise alarms to compare. This one was in smaller side and worked well for my 7-10 year-olds. They are deep sleepers. One still needs some prompting to get up, but the other responds well to this alarm. It gradually gets VERY loud. Some of the sounds are obnoxious. My kids like the aurora changing night light mode and they set it independently. I like that the night light can be set to turn off after 10/30/60 minutes as I want them to be unafraid before falling asleep but don’t want the light on all night interfering with the depth of their sleep.
