Well, I am through-ya with Tuya. I bought two different devices from this company, and neither does the basic functions that I want it to do. Though they claim they are different devices, the two different ones that I bought both have the same problems. Both are being returned. Both are getting one star reviews. Both devices have the same stupid limitations. Yes the picture quality is good but the software and functionality make it almost worthless. Yes, it does start to record when motion is detected. However it stops recording after just a few seconds without any motion. The worst problem is that you cannot do continuous recording and you cannot schedule a recording to stop or start at a particular time, despite what you see in the app. I believe that they took those features out of the app. On purpose. This device has very limited choices. Your choices are these: (though you have to use the special decoder ring to gather this information from the instruction booklet) Here are your options: - brief, disjointed snippets of video stored to your local disk triggered by motion - longer recordings that are not stored on the device but are stored on your phone, which only works when you're on the same Wi-Fi AND stops recording when you minimize the app on the phone. - Longer recording might be possible if your store your videos on the CCP cloud. Danger. Over 10 years ago I had a similar camera that could record long videos locally. This device now has better video quality but it's a severely limited in its functionality. I would say it is worthless. I've bought two of these similar models and neither of them do the basic functions that I want. Worthless.
