I chose these over competitors based on another reviewer's claim that their capacitive touch buttons worked unusually well, even with gloves on. That claim is not true for me; the capacitive touch buttons barely work at all in cold, dry weather, and definitely not with gloves on. If you care about being able to pause your music easily while you're out walking, stick with earbuds that have real, mechanical buttons (which are increasingly difficult to find, since the capacitive sensors are cheaper to build). But other than that, these are perfectly adequate earbuds.
