This thing rocks, would be really good for a commercial kitchen. Works from it's base station o read temps remotely, and pairs to phone, to do the same. It's super accurate, tested against analog thermometer's. Honestly, if you want to spend this kind of cash on something like this, inkbird products never disappoint, and this is no exception. used it on my turkey for Christmas. Allowed me tow alk away and watch the temp drop over time, until I was sure it was well rested. Yea, buy it, buy two and give one away, it's a good product. Read more

Very cool set. Setup was a breeze. All of the thermometers connect to the hub by themselves. Connecting to wifi and Bluetooth was easy and worked seamlessly (temp updates on the phone in real time). Made cooking my Thanksgiving turkey super easy. 4 thermometers is really nice for a single big cook but can also be used for 4 steaks or similar for perfect results. Love it so far. Read more

I used this thermometer for my Thanksgiving turkey and it worked great. The connection stayed stable through the entire cook. The probes read quickly and gave accurate temps. The app made it easy to track everything from my phone. You get four probes, clear alerts, and reliable performance. It worked well in the oven and on the smoker. This helped me cook the turkey safely and on time. Read more

I set it to a 5, although it should be a 4.5. But, I dont think dropping to a 4 would be fair. When I 1st got this it was not really clear how to get it setup. The instructions said to look for something flashing, that does not exist on this device. I had the app from other devices so I was familiar with it. Once I got it connected to wifi, it did not give me any readings or anything and the screen looked really weird. After a reboot, everything was the same. I went into the play store and it told me there was an update(not sure why the app didnt tell me that). After the update it all looked and worked great. I like the visuals, settings, and easy to read layout. I also like the ambient temp probe on it to help me identify if there is something going on in the smoker as well. The temps were acturate per my instant read. The chicken came out of the smoker super juicy and tender. The only little knock on the device itself is the size. The probes are a little bigger than I care for but, not terribly so. Also the chafging base and such, yeah you can see temps snd such but there is 0 control ability. Read more

Overall, the thermometer works great! I tested it with both the controller and the app, and I definitely prefer using the app. It’s easier to set up. I also like that you don’t have to use Wi-Fi and can connect over Bluetooth instead. (If your phone will be more than 30 feet from the controller, go with Wi-Fi. Otherwise, Bluetooth works perfectly.) The quick start guide was easy to follow, and setting up the probes was no problem. I really like the presets in the app—they’re a great starting point. For example, when I’m cooking chicken breasts, I’ll lower the finish temp up 150 or 155. The historical data is also super useful for longer cooks like brisket, pork butt, or roasts, or if you want to look back at previous cooks. (Just note: for something long like a brisket, you might need to recharge the probe halfway through.) One thing to know: even though the app uses Bluetooth, it connects to the controller. Not directly to the probes. So the probes need to stay within about 30 feet of the controller, and your phone also within 30 feet of the controller. And make sure to insert the probe all the way up to the marked line. (See picture.) Wish list: I do wish it came with a case. That would make storage a lot easier. Note: The chicken in the picture may look a bit strange. It’s because I was experimenting with sous viding the chicken first, then smoking it second. (If you haven’t tried this, they come out moist, tender, and very tasty.) Read more

This device is handy. After some confusion during setup I was able to connect it properly and it functions very well. What I like most about it is I can connect the hub to WiFi and keep track of my cooking from anywhere in my home. Be aware the hub needs to be within range to the probes. The manual says something like 19 feet. Upon use my cook was perfect. Unlike others I’ve tried the probes wash in the dishwasher which is convenient. It is also affordable. Note: the hub isn’t the most descriptive but if you have a WiFi connection the app is great. Happy grilling! Read more

I used this thermometer for my thanksgiving dinner. Among other things, I made barbacoa and pulled pork on my Big Green Egg. The thermometers worked great. In addition to the meat temperatures, the thermometers provide the ambient grill temperatures as well. Also, as the probes are wireless, they would be excellent to use with a rotisserie -- which I intend to do. The phone application works very well to and makes monitoring meat and ambient temperatures very easy. Read more

Got this unit just before Christmas, have done a couple cooks with it. Very simple to use. Things that matter when cooking for loved ones, accuracy, reliability, and ease. This unit hits all 3. Nice case to hold the probes, easily change settings for different foods and doneness. I highly recommend inkgrill products for beginners and experts...everyone in between. Read more
