We have a 2 year old mini poodle. My dog LOVES this bed. He sleeps more comfortably on it than he has in any other bed. It requires no assembly. It came compressed but expanded quickly after opening. I’m pleased with the thickness. The quality seems excellent. It’s been washed two or three times and has held up well. It doesn’t shed. I don’t know what makes this bed so good, but my dog has never slept as peacefully as he does with this one. I also love that it’s eclectic but also unobtrusive. THE GOOD: Pleasantly surprised that its fully NOT cotton batting filler inside; it’s definitley chopped up pieces of foam–it’s firm, wants to hold its shape, super dense, came shrink-wrapped like a memory foam mattress. It’s really nice, seems sturdy, it’s much better quality than I expected. Perfect fit, 20 lb Mini Aussie, ordered a big one for her (30x30 I think?). (Had another before this from a diff company on Amazon and the insides were garbage filler, became spaced out, fabric stretched, got all wonky after a year or so of use + washing. Hoping this one holds up better. Will update later.) THE BAD: Missing one star because it is definitley emitting some off-gassing smell, and the faux fur fabric has some weird waxy residue on it which I noticed after fluffing it up. I had to wash my hands a couple times…super NOT stoked about my dog getting that residue all over her coat. I want to wash it before she uses it and am worried for the outcome of that.
