I do all of my working out and training at home, so I was interested in purchasing this so I could add some versatility into my workouts! * * I have updated my review a little since buying the red band I've also purchased the black and purple one! A few things I great enjoy about these bands: Versatility - Since I starting using this I’ve added numerous exercises to my program, especially where there are limitations due to lack of equipment. The most helpful has assisted dips and pull-ups. I weigh about 230 lbs with a heavier lower body so even just one pull-up was out of the question before using these bands. If needed you can also easily combine and use bands together for a little added resistance if need be. Portability – though the original intent was for the benefits while at home, they have also proven to be of great use while I’m on my trips for weeks on end. Depending on where I’m traveling for work I might not have access to a hotel exercise facility or nearby gym. This takes care of that issue because they are so easy to wrap up and store away without taking up much space! Because they’re so travel heavy I usually end up taking 2 or 3 different bands with me! When I have them on my travels I’m able to add a variety of exercises at my disposal with resistance. Occasionally it’s a challenge to figure out how I’m going to do a few exercises but sometimes it just takes a little creativity. Durability – these bands can take a beating and still hold up! Even when stretched past the recommended limits they still keep their integrity. Though as a safety precaution you should always check your bands to make sure there is no chance of them snapping during your workout! All in all I absolutely would recommend these bands for you to try! Great quality and great price! They even come with a 60 day satisfaction guarantee and a lifetime warranty, so you’re taken care of if something (by some crazy chance) happens. Read more
I recently moved cross-country and haven't found a gym to join yet. I don't have a spare room or garage space to devote to a home gym or ever an olympic bar set up, and I am worried about what dumbbells might do to my hardwood floors. I saw a video by scooby1961 on Youtube plugging these bands and thought I would give it a try. I bought the second lightest band, the black 30-60. So far, I really like it. I have had it about a week and am still experimenting with it, but I see great promise in its use. I am roughly 6' tall, and I find that it is a great length and resistance for lateral raises when placing the band under one foot. It is too light for two arm bicep curls, but by placing the bands under both feet and widening my stance I can get enough resistance for single arm curls in high reps. Placing the band under a single foot is great for standing one arm shoulder presses too. The band feels very sturdy, much more than I could have imagined. I plan to pair this with my suspension trainer at the local park for a better workout, where I will have stable attachment points to do rows, chest presses, flies, and some isometric core work. In all, I guarantee that I will be buying at least the next size up, and will probably get a full set for both myself and my son. As with anything, I would recommend that if you have the opportunity try these out somewhere before you buy them. The resistance curve is unique, as it increases throughout the range of motion and basically eliminates the momentum of free-weights. However, if you are like me and have to take a blind purchase, its great that you can buy just one of the set at a low price. Read more
These are amazing! I haven't worked out in a long time, I mean its been years and I live to far from a gym so I watched videos on youtube about these as I needed something to help me workout at home because I don't have much room for various machines. I have been working out doing full body workouts with these every 3 days and eating right and I am seeing HUGE progress in building muscle and burning fat (I had some belly fat and my arms had almost no tone before) I often look at my arms and feeling my flatter stomach with abs starting to show (I do planks not sit ups). I also bought a pull up bar for the door and use the green one to assist me but make sure you do full chin ups/pull ups because the resistance is stronger when its stretched and it helps a little to much at the start of the pull and then there is no resistance at the top. These should be included in everyone's routine no matter how old you are. Also you should buy the pack of 4 because different workouts will be easier or harder depending on what your doing. They are also great for putting behind your back and doing resisted pushups!! I've been working out 3 weeks and have great progress already. 5 stars! Read more
