I needed this for a 10 inch (diag) tablet on a stationary bike. After receiving it, I can say it is well built, with added strength at the bar clamp and at the tablet clamp. What they don't really mention is the tablet clamp is spring loaded, with more than enough grip to hold a tablet in place for a stationary bike. But, I'm not so sure it would be adequate for an outdoor bike; probably a street bike, but not an off-road. For off-road, you'd need all four sides held in place. Otherwise, very pleased and I believe it will last a long time. The only weak point is likely the ball joint. The ball joint is plastic on plastic, which we all know will not last forever, as the plastic will weaken and break. So, we'll see, but likely that will go out in a few years. That not a big issue for the price point. The instructions also were not quite clear enough on the assembly of the ball joint - you actually have to force the ball into the threaded nipple assembly, making the assembly expand slightly, then tighten down the threaded collar. This is slightly different from any other manufacturer. Read more
I have a Vector e-dock in my Jeep Gladiator. 67 makes a bunch of different holders to mount on the bar but they're expensive. This tablet holder, when spread gently, fits perfectly on the Vector e-dock. Wheeled it on some pretty hard bumps holding an 8" tablet pretty well. No problems. Didnt run video on the tablet so not sure about stability. If you have a Vector e-dock, look at accessory mounts for motor cycles or even bicycles. It does the job. Pics to follow. Need to use it for a while before I decide about the sturdiness but so far, so good. Read more
I bought this tablet/phone mount for use on my exercise bike and possibly my mountain bike. So far I have only used it for my exercise bike and it works great! It clamps on my fat handlebars and stays put with no vibration. The spring loaded arms hold both my tablet (widthwise) and my phone (lengthwise). The model I received looks identical to the product pictures, but mine has two yellow rope loops at each end that can be used to pull the arms apart and there was no brand name printed on it. I haven't used this mount on my mountain bike because I don't trust it with my phone or my tablet for that use. I mostly ride on paved paths with my mountain bike, but there are occasional curbs or bumps in the road that cannot be avoided. I think a hard bump could cause the springs to stretch just enough to drop your phone or tablet on the road. Another possible scenario is the plastic ball mount snapping off on the back. I'm not feeling brave enough to test it with my phone or tablet. I've read reviews for other phone mounts where their expensive phones dropped to the ground and broke. Use this mount on your outdoor bike at your own risk. For use on an indoor exercise bike, this is a 5 star mount all the way! Read more
