WOLFBOX X3 2 5K 1440P 60FPS Dash Camera STARVIS 2 IMX675 with ADAS 1440P 1080P Dual Dashcam Front

Our teen son just became a licensed driver and we wanted to get a good quality dash cam for his protection. We have heard several stories of teen drivers being involved in accidents and not having proof the other driver was as fault. I did a fair amount of research and decided to buy this camera instead of a Garmin that my friend installed in his teens vehicle. The install in our Honda Accord was very easy and the supplied tools tucked the wires in with ease. The camera itself disappears behind the rear view mirror. We don’t notice the rear camera at all. We didn’t want the camera to be a distraction. The camera is easy to operate. The supplied SD card holds several days worth of recordings. The “lane assist” feature is nice and annoying at the same time. We leave it on because our son is a new driver and it helps keep him in the lane. The “collision avoidance” is also nice and annoying. Again we leave it on to keep our son from tailgating other vehicles. My wife was driving the vehicle yesterday and had another vehicle driving directly towards her. Nice quality - install was kinda/sorta goofy ... initially thought camera wanted a std 12v source - nope - it really runs on a 5v input. Luckily I had a high quality braided USB cable already run & just had to use a USB-C to Std USB adapter. Once plugged in - the camera booted right up. NOTE - the camera comes with a ridiculous 2.5" power adapter - "if" your vehicle use a std 5v USB plug - use that - the camera will work just fine - just remember to use a really high quality USB cable (think Braided UGreen or Anker - available here on Amazon). Backup Camera installation worked fine as well. In case ya'll are wondering what vehicle - 2021 Ford Ranger Extended Cab (not the 4 door version). Overall - another decent camera from WolfBox - probably my 12th one I've bought. I recommend/install these to my friends & family & wind up doing the install's of course ... Final NOTE ... bought this camera as it seems - camera's with the in cabin camera view are starting to take over & I have ZERO interest in watching myself drive thank you very much. This is my second purchase of the rear view dash cam by WOLFBOX (two vehicles). The first is several years old and zero issues. Ready to install out of the box, the setup includes a sd card (I drive a lot so replaced the 64gb with a 246gb), everything is included except a small screwdriver if you decide to change the rear cam mount. Loaded with features, the software set up on this cam is super easy. A dash cam is a MUST due to other drivers and to have evidence in case of a motor vehicle accident. Read more

Bought two of these. One for a car with a 12V cigarette power adapter, one for a GMC Sierra with only a C port and USB port. The one in the vehicle with the 12V cigarette adapter, works great. The Sierra with the C port and USB port I could not get this to power up. This including buying three different power adapters on Amazon, none of which could carry the required current. Manufacturer offered to send a hard wire kit to hard wire to the vehicle but that was a non-starter; did not want to mess with the vehicle wiring. Read more

If you are considering buying this, just do it. Everything you need in a dashcam, and more. Lost 1 star because the mount needs to be “pressed on a bit” every few weeks or so. Doesn’t fail completely, but start to bubble up and get loose. Read more

Crisp, clear images. Sturdy and well designed. The cling on piece you put on the glass before adhering the sticky tab doesnt really work so I put the sticky tab directly on the glass. Love how easy it was to set up. Bought a few more for my other cars. Read more

I’ve bought, tested and installed multiple dash cams for customers vehicles and my personal ones. Wolfbox and viofo are my two personal choices of brands. This one works great for a daily dash camera. Night and day time footage are great and clear for license plate footage. Storage capacity is good with the highest going to 256gb I believe. More than enough room for daily trips and the occasional long trip. Hardware the unit for parking sensing just in case your car gets hit while parked, it’ll trigger by motion sensing and g sensitivity. There is ai built in notifying you of lane change/departure, close impact warning/tailgating. I highly recommend this as I’ve been using and testing this out for awhile and it nets my criteria.
