Wolky Jewel Womens Comfort Sandal

These are my third pair of Wolky sandals in 15 years. These sandals have the support I need and can be adjusted in three different places. My feet don't look like boats in them. When I travel these are the only shoes I will need to take since they look good with jeans, capris, shorts, and skirts. They are easy to get on and off, but secure. As a woman of a certain age with a number of chronic problems (read: lower back and knee), I can't say how much I love these sandals without waxing on and on about them. I have two pair - this one and one in a brown color - and wear them as often as I can. I am a middle school teacher and I stand and walk most of every school day - on concrete. Having a well-made, sturdy yet impact-absorbing shoe means I am not hobbling at the end of the day and hitting the pain medication hard. Wolky's Rio is so comfortable, that I own 3 pair in various colors. These are my everyday in Red Nubuck, kind of a suade. Perfectly engineered arch. I love these shoes. They look good with skirts and pants. Unfortunately I am unable to wear them at this time because of a foot injury. The adjustable straps and removable insole are wonderful. The only problem I have found is the sizing can be confusing. I wear a 6.5 - 7 shoe and I always get a size 37. Sometimes a 37 will be listed as a 5.5-6 or a 7-7.5. I have several pairs and I always order a size 37 no matter what the chart says. I purchased a 38 and had to return them. I hope this is helpful to anyone looking for a wonderful shoe. These Wolky Jewels didn't work out for me, but it could just be my feet. I wear a size 5, and my feet are wide in the front, and have high arches. Since my mid-20s, I've had really bad pain in the balls of my feet and in the arches, once I really get walking, a mile or longer. I've been searching for comfortable sandals for traveling around Europe. I wasn't able to get the ankle strap to be tight enough against the backs of my ankles, so these felt too loose. The rest was perfect, fit-wise. The footbeds on these were *extremely* comfortable, like a dream come true! Sadly the strap adjustment didn't work for me. But I can see that these shoes might be a life-saver for someone else. Read more
