Woman Within Plus Size Button-Front Shaker Cardigan

I am 5’7 190#’s and ordered the plus large. This sweater was slightly loose on buttoned all the way before I washed and dried it turned inside out. It fits perfect now after the wash and dry. No reviews mentioned that it does shrink slightly if you put it in dryer. It came out beautifully though. I did not want this baggy like most reviews talked about. The tag says 18/20 on it if that helps. I’m normally a 16/18 pant size with big bottom. This hangs behind halfway down my bottom. Sleeves are perfect length on me. Most sleeves are way too long and I have to roll them up (not this sweater). The arms have a little give so I can wear a thin long sleeve Tshirt underneath. The sweater is not itchy but it’s not really soft material either. It says 60/40 cotton/acrylic. That’s probably accurate. I used Downey in the wash and it seems to have helped somewhat. I ordered the blue marble and it’s perfect with jeans. It seems to be well made but it does have a slight pucker at the bottom between the buttons when it’s fully buttoned. It is warm with a Tshirt underneath. Good for Tx winters (40-70 degrees). I’m going to buy the black marble sweater too. Highly recommend. Read more

Love these shaker sweaters. They fit well. I like that they are cotton. I wear them in the morning because they are just the right weight without being too much. They will work for Fall and Spring and can be worn under a coat in Winter. I buy a bigger size coat so I can layer up. I bought 3 different colors hope to get more. In Summer they work for cooler mornings. IMHO they are a good quality. Read more

There is no place you will ever look out of place in this sweater. It's not too hot, not too short, not too stiff, and colors do not fade in the wash. I always buy a back-up black one just in case. They look good running out the door over jeans and they make a dress & boots look finished. Love the length, most of all: hugs hips and bottom enough without clinging. Shaker knot is great if you have pilling issues. This one holds up in the wash, a little bit of Downy and static free. Read more

This is such a nice sweater, got a black one. Just heavy enough , roomy enough, soft enough, long enough without being fluffy. Will keep me from having to crank up apt thermostat. Nice big buttons, one included. Open neck area; it's just such a happy sweater. I wish the cuffs were not so without closure, but I'll deal w/ that to enjoy the rest of it. I really like this long sweater. I will be taking it with me on our upcoming Alaska cruise. It fits very nice. It is a good quality . A nice soft knit. The price was good for this kind of sweater. It was very comfortable. I bought black because I knew I could wear it with dress slacks or jeans. I would buy it again…in a different color. I was thinking maybe a red.
