I bought this for schlepping around the house so I could save on my gas bill. It was just the right warmth. Because of shoulder problems, I bought a size bigger than my usual for easy on and off. Bought this for my mom. She loves it. Loved it so much she had me order a second in another color. Fit is a little big but we'd rather have it to big than to small so she can wrap it around her like a blanket (not literally that big but that warm) it's super soft and held its color well after the first couple washings. Sweater was a very nice cherry red when received. The size seemed very large, a bit stretched out. I put it through a wash/dry cycle to see if the size would correct itself. The sweater definitely shrunk but that's a good thing. The color faded a bit - still red, but not the bright red it was when first received.
