This is my second purchase of this bag (I got it in brown about 4 years ago…still in great shape…I get tons of compliments on it. My ex said it was ugly, please note that I I got rid of him and kept the bag…then ordered another one!) The quality and colors hold up well. It is as durable as it is fashionable…as in it can be used for several purposes on all the occasions. I have had several designer handbags in the past where the leather would easily scratch or the hardware would break. I ordered this purse for the second time. The first one was getting a little worn after 5 years. I get many compliments about this purse and many people want to know where they can buy it. It is large enough to fit all my stuff, yet not too large for a short person like me. PU leather is shiny and looks real. I LOVE this purse! It was so much better than i could have ever imagined…and I’m really bummed that i could not keep it. The material feels really nice for not-leather and the findings seem solid too. I really wanted it to work for my needs, but it just did not accommodate all the different sized things i need to carry every day. It got way too heavy and the side walls are not structured, so once i got everything inside and where i wanted it the sides would slouch and my stuff would fall out. You won’t regret this purchase in terms of quality, as long as long as your stuff fits inside the way you need it to, i just carry waaaaaaay too much stuff. I really hope this purse works for you! The purse is seemingly well made. Is stylish and as far as size and style exactly what I was looking for. I don’t like to use my expensive leather bags for traveling and wanted an all purpose but stylish looking bag I could use for the rigors of travel and if damaged it wasn’t an issue. The price was right, the size was right, and the style was right. . .So, why would I give this bag I actually liked so much one star? Let me tell you it’s because of the horrendous smell! I have never in my life had a purse or any other clothing item or accessory have a smell like what this purse smelled like. I did read a few reviews about the smell but naively thought how bad could it be and I figured those reviewers had to be exaggerating. After my own encounter with the purse that smells like a bag of dead rats it seems like the reviews didn’t fully do justice to exactly how terrible and over powering the smell actually is. First I thought maybe the smell would go away if I just opened up the bag and let it air out. When that didn’t work I used several odor killers, essential oils and fabric refreshers. Unfortunately nothing seemed to work. And when my nose blind husband complained that he could smell the stink of my purse from across the room I knew it was a lost cause. In the end although I really liked the purse and did try pretty darned hard to get rid of the horrible smell it became apparent that the smell was so terrible (no kidding it smells like a bag of dead rats) that it was impossible to carry this purse in public with such an offensive, sickening odor coming from the purse. So I had to return the purse. My advice I’d skip this purse there are many others to choose from that hopefully doesn’t have such an offensive smell.
