I use this on a poncho type coat for fall. It keeps everything together nicely, so it doesn't slide off. I like that it comes in various sizes because one size fits all doesn't work when you use a blanket poncho due to the extra bulk around your waist. I like that it is wide in the front too, so it is slimming. The look would be a bit dated for a dress, but it works great for what I needed. And who knows everything old becomes new again at some point. BTW I would have definitely worn this in the 80's with an oversized shirt. I think I just found my costume idea for Halloween. Read more

This is a nice, wide elastic belt for a dress or pants that kind of hints at a corset-esque look from a distance. It has good stretch that makes it comfortable, and a nice contrast between the bright buckle and the black belt. What cool looking belt! I love how it could be worn with a dress or with a pirate wench costume. The leather is thick. The hooks and metal are attached tightly. It fits absolutely true to size. I was worried that the stiffness of the leather and the sharper edges would dig into my rib cage. But it doesn’t. It fits well. The only thing - and this is more just FYI - is that once you hook it and wear it for a few hours, you may forget which side comes undone or where the hook is. And you’ll panic trying to undo it. And then start wriggling and writhing until you finally unhook it. Or maybe that’s just me. 😊 So take extra time to look at the hook and memorize how it connects so it’s easier to remove. Read more
