If you have the money to spend on a shampoo that might slightly improve the fullness of your hair, then go for it. But don't expect a drastic change in hair growth. I like that there is a pump. You just need 1 or 2 pumps to give a good lather if you have short hair. Which is nice, cause it is expensive and you want it to last. It does have a slight cooling sensation which is nice. The main ingredient is Minoxidil. The only topical solution approved for hair loss. The company sells the same shampoo with 5% Minoxidil. For females, you shouldn't use minoxidil higher than 5% concentration. You are most likely spending it extra money for Minoxidil anyway, so might as well go with the 5% version. You would only go with the lower 2% version if you have negative or adverse effects with the 5% version. Maybe like skin irritation or growing facial hair. For minoxidil to work, it needs to stay on your scalp for hours, so i'm not sure how being in a shampoo that gets washed away after a few minutes is going to help much. The caffeine helps increase circulation and stimulate your scalp so you can absorb the minoxidil and some other ingredients into your scalp. It also says it includes biotin, which is good in strengthening hair and nails. But you are probably better off buying biotin supplements. Green Tea and Honey are good antioxidant. Maybe good for some types of hair-loss. Saw Palmetto acts as a DHT blocker, but probably better if you get the supplement form. The price is within range of similar products in the market. But I think money is probably better spent on getting Minoxidil topical solution and getting Biotin & Saw Palmetto supplements. Read more

Reasons for deductions: * Ad does not give full ingredient list, could have shown back of bottle, or used detailed description area to provide full list of ingredients. Some people (like ME) want to see exactly what the ingredient list says, and the order of the ingredients based on quantity in formulation. * Have to get bottle to read instructions: to leave on hair for 2-3 minutes. Have to know that you will perhaps change your hair washing routine to accommodate this Note: I have used many of these ingredients in hair growth oil products: Castor Oil, Batana Oil, Peppermint, etc. NOTE: I have also had Keratin build up (where hair felt like straw and brittle from using Keratin product daily, that my hair type has to be very sensitive to how much are in my hair) Had similar issue with a castor oil bar soap: where after daily use, my hair again felt thick, and over conditioned. I note this, as there could perhaps be too many ingredients added in this formulation when the one key ingredient is truly the Minoxidil 2%. Note: agree with another reviewer that other forms of Minoxidil (such as serums) that you apply at night and leave on longer than 2-3 minutes might be more effective. Price is high considering the blend of products. If you compare to just Minoxidil serum/oil by itself as the main ingredient, all these other ingredients just reduce the quantity of Minoxidil in the formulation. I am trying it, but most likely will not be a repeat customer. It will take 2-3 months to truly see hair growth results. I will report back if I find the product has too much "oil or Keratin" build up effect on my hair. Right now I do a weekly deep condition with Batana Oil (apply, and use a foil cap) and wash off 2-3 HOURS later. I can then alternate other hair products to not get a build up on my fine hair. I’ve been using this shampoo for a while before leaving a review & I actually like it. My hair does seem a bit thicker & it leaves it feeling clean and nourished. I personally don’t use it in the shower. I stick to washing at the sink to avoid the product touching other areas, since it’s Minoxidil & I don’t want any unwanted hair growth in other areas. The formula with biotin, keratin & rosemary feels very gentle. I like that it combines strengthening & hair regrowth ingredients in one product. Overall, I’m happy with it & will keep using it as part of my routine. Read more

I have to do an updated review to see if my hair grows but as far as the smell and being a shampoo by itself so far so good. The peppermint smell is extremely heavy, but I like it for my headaches and the scent of peppermint. The bottle came already opened tho and leaking everywhere. Read more

Well I’m giving it 5 stars for now. I won’t know for 3-6 months if it actually works. But I’ll be back to update my review then. For now, my only complaint is the packaging. As you can see from the picture, the shampoo squirted out and made a mess in the bag. But I didn’t take any stars off for that. It wasn’t a lot, but slippery and messy to clean up. The shampoo itself smells like peppermint. The directions say to put it on and leave it in 2-3 minutes, then rinse. Easy enough. I also like that it’s cruelty free. The actual bottle is 12.17 ounces. Unless they change it, the original listing was for 1 ounce, so I wasn’t sure what I was going to get. Anyway, initially it looks promising and smells good. I’ll update after a few months or sooner if I notice any changes. Read more

I have used this shampoo in the past and enjoyed it. Usually medicated shampoos dry my hair out. But this one leaves my hair feeling more moisturized than any medicated shampoo I've used before. It does have a very strong peppermint smell, though. So if you aren't a fan of peppermint, you probably won't like this shampoo. For this reason, I was expecting my scalp to tingle, but I don't recall feeling any tingling sensation. Minoxidil must be used consistently for a long period of time to see results, so be patient. Also, it is always a good idea to consult your healthcare professional before using any products with minoxidil to prevent any possible medication interactions. Read more
