I wanted to love this top so badly, and really....it's SO close to being perfect...but those shell buttons on the front are just a bit too large and clunky for my liking. I get what they were going for, and the fit of the top itself is really nice and accentuates the waistline in a very flattering manner, but I just can't get past the size of those buttons. In my case, I know how to sew and am planning to swap out the existing buttons with some alternative "statement" buttons that are a bit less in-your-face, as the top itself is certainly worth keeping. If you're looking for 'Fran Drescher at the Country-Club-by-the-Sea' chic, this top is totally for you...and kudos for being able to pull it off. The vest is structured in a way that it’s fun and flattering, if it fits correctly. I’m always afraid of the bust - being 34D, 125#. I ordered a small per the size chart and it fits, but it’s tight below the rib cage, which is a new one for me. So I would suggest ordering per your waist measurement per the body chart rather than trying to accommodate your bust size. The shells are just big, fake hollow pieces sewn on like buttons. The vest closes using plastic snaps hidden by the shells. Hopefully they’ll last, but I’m always apprehensive regarding their durability. This dress looked promising online, but it turned out to be a major letdown. I typically wear a size large and ordered an XL to ensure a roomier fit since it buttons—but it wouldn’t even close. The sizing is way off. To get a proper fit, I’d likely need an XXL or even XXXL, which is absurd given my usual size. Beyond the sizing issue, the gold buttons are made of cheap plastic and don’t match the dress’s intended “dressy” look. I bought a medium. I am 5'3" and 161 lbs, aiming for 140 lbs, and I am putting in the work. Maybe I am in denial, but I truly believe medium is my size and I just cannot bring myself to go for a large—those never fit me right. Even though this top does not fit yet, I am keeping it because it is so beautiful, and I know that when those last two buttons finally snap, it will feel like a huge win. If I had to critique it, I would mention that the shells are sewn directly onto the top, and behind each shell is a small plastic snap enclosure—similar to the kind you see on doll clothes. I am not sure this was the best choice, as the snaps feel delicate and I could see them wearing out over time. This is the main reason I am giving the top 4 stars instead of 5. This sleeveless tank button-down vest top looks exactly as pictured. I ordered the black top, but I am tempted to order the white top as well. It's a beautiful, stylish, and unique-looking vest with three fun seashell-shaped buttons. While the buttons themselves aren't actually functionable, there are snaps on the inside of the vest that allow you to button and unbutton the vest where the seashells are. This runs slightly loose, so you may want to order a size down if you are looking for a slimmer or tighter fit. I ordered a small which fits decently well, but it is a bit looser than I was hoping. For reference, I am 5'4" and ~127lbs and a 34C. The tag instructions state that you should hand wash this vest in cold water, presumably to protect the buttons. Line dry as well. This sleeveless tank is very cute. I got mine in size L, black, and it fits well on top, but a little tight on waist. With shapewear on it should probably fit. The quality is impressive, all the seams are neat and even, and the fabric is soft, flowing, and feels nice to the touch. One little thing to mention is that I might need to reattach buttons, they feel loose. Overall, I'm satisfied with this tank. Recommend. Read more
