Ok so upon ordering these shoes I figured it would be more of a doc Martin style boot I could pair with tights and simply use for a cute fashion statement- think again!! haha yes you could still do that - However, if you need to trek a mountain, or destroy a ring on a exceptionally long journey with hobbits, want to go to tide pools on slippery rocks and not fall, work in food industry or have difficulty finding secure footing in wet weather these ARE THE SHOES FOR THAT! They are incredibly comfortable with the soft lining and support, true to size and give you the sense and confidence that they could withstand literally any terrain. These are very comfortable to put on their well made I like the soul on them I like the length on the ankle. They're right enough for my feet or I'm on cement and they seem to do quite well. They look great in jeans. I believe you could pull it off with the right skirt. Read more

Frankly, upon trying these boots on and giving them a try, I just had to laugh. If you're looking for a comedic chunky goofball look, these are it. As an older adult, I only wear these with bell bottoms and wide leg jeans that mostly hide them. They serve as a surprise statement of youth, should I stick my feet out. The fit is a little wonky. Mine were a little rough on my heels but provided ample room for my toes. I found that putting a pair of cushions in helped me walk in them. They are a tad heavy and clunky for my old bones. That said, the non-slip soles are a boon in wet weather, as is the water resistant pleather. These boots are going to have a long break-in period. The pleather is very stiff, and if course no leather conditioner will work with them. Also: be mindful of bonking them into anything as you will not be able to polish out scruffs or scratches. I got black for this reason. While I did get these boots on a whim, I find them mostly too comedic to wear anywhere but to a party or nightclub. OK, these are so cute, in a chunky, lug sole kinda way. Nice wide toe box and fits my size 8 foot perfectly. The little beige bit across the tongue is cute and breaks up the all black look which could be rather harsh looking in my opinion. These are very comfortable boots. They run a very little bit large, and have no arch support. So there is room to add an arch and they would be a perfect fit. I personally wish the upper part was laced on hooks rather than these, which aren't hooks or eyelets, they are harder and slower to tighten and loosen than eyelets or hooks.
