These were too narrow and stiff. I have a high instep and these were too tight around the top of my foot. It cuts the circulation off. They also hit.my ankle and were stiff there, which would have caused problems. Sent them back. Read more

These ankle wedge boots turned out to be really comfortable and easy to wear. They have a side zipper that makes them simple to get on and off, and the wedge heel adds just the right amount of height without making walking difficult. I wore them for a full day, including a lot of walking, and they stayed comfortable the whole time. I usually size up half a size to make room for thick socks, but they didn’t have a size 9 as an option, so I took the chance with my usual 8.5. I’m glad I did, because the 8.5 fits great even with thick socks, and I would say these are true to size. The fit is secure, and my foot isn’t sliding around as it can with other boots. The finish is more of a matte black rather than shiny, and the rounded toe makes them feel roomy and easy to wear. They pair well with different pant styles, but personally, I think they look best under boot-cut or slightly flared jeans/pants. They also work fine with skinny jeans, it's just not my preference (I’ve included pictures of both). On the bottom, the sole has slight traction built into the tread, and the material itself is skid-resistant, which makes them feel extra secure on different surfaces. These boots are just okay for me. The foot length itself fits fine, but the overall shape of the shoe looks way bigger than it should. The top leaves way too much extra space, which makes them look oversized and kind of awkward on my feet. Honestly, they almost look like they were designed for someone with a really swollen foot, which isn’t the look I was going for.
