This jacket and skirt are such a cute set! I really love the detail inside of the button where the fabric matches the outfit. It has a nice satin inner slip, which is so appreciated! It makes wear so much more comfortable. It fit as expected. If I had to complain about anything, the sleeves were a tad long, but better than being too short. I felt very put together on this. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this suit. For the price point, I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. It's fully lined, with quality fabric. The skirt has elastic in the back of the waistband; while this isn't exactly found in higher quality suits, it does help create a better fit. I'm normally a ladies size 12, but I carry my weight in my hips and legs. The skirt is a little tight in the hips. I'd need to lose 5-10 pounds to be able to wear it without it riding up as I walk. While the skirt was too tight for my hips and thunder thighs, it's a great length and cut. The jacket fits really well. The picture I've posted shows the jacket after steaming it (didn't steam the skirt, however). When it arrived, the creases were pretty rough, but after steaming it, it looked much better. The fit of the jacket and skirt are figure flattering. My only negative was the gold threads in the fabric. It's a little (okay...a lot) more gold than I like. I wonder if the other colors have this much shine. While it's a nice suit, it's just more gold than what I'd feel comfortable wearing. Read more

However, the fit is where things get tricky. The fabric has no stretch at all, which really limits flexibility and comfort, especially for curvier body types. I’m 5'4", 150 lbs, typically a size 8–10, with a smaller bust and curvier lower half. The top runs large in the shoulders, while the skirt runs small and is quite snug around the thighs. Although it zips up without issue, the lack of give in the fabric restricts movement, especially when sitting or walking. The cinched detailing on the sides of the skirt also creates an awkward “bubble” effect at the stomach, likely due to the rigid material and tighter fit in the hips. For straighter or thinner body types, this set may work beautifully—it’s undeniably well made. But it’s not designed with varied proportions in mind. Given how different the sizing is between the top and bottom, it would be far more practical if the pieces were sold separately to allow for a better fit. In short, this is a stylish and well-crafted set that could be perfect for certain body types, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution.
