This is a review of the Vera Bradley Collegiate Vera Tote Bag in black/white (Purdue) I am a big fan of Vera Bradley purses and bags and have many of them. I was looking forward to this one and liked it with some reservations. If you’ve never had a Vera Bradley purse or tote, you’re in for a treat. Her purses are all of high quality and are so lightweight which is a big plus for me. I’ve always given her purses 5 star and I’ve had and used many of them for years and they are all still in great condition. Like her other bags, the zippers on this one work well and the bag has lots of different compartments and storage areas, both inside and out. The purse zips close on top to keep items inside your purse more secure. My only complaint - and this is a minor one because I still like this purse - is that I wish it came in a crossbody style since it is so big. The handles are just short of being big enough for that. Also, there are no zippered compartments inside of the purse which is unusual - I normally use those areas in lieu of a wallet but on this one there are open pockets instead. Still, this is a nice tote and even though it’s advertised as a collegiate design, the Perdue P is sort of camouflaged into the front so you can enjoy it just as a great, colorful black and white bag.
