I absolutely loved this shirt when I first got it and received lots of compliments every time I wore it. It’s true to size and very flattering. Unfortunately, after washing it in cold water and hanging it to dry (as carefully as possible), it still shrank in length. I’m so disappointed because it was perfect before. I love this sweater top! I love that I am able to wear just a bra underneath and not a full camisole. The open weave pattern of this sweater conceals my bra enough and it’s not totally see-through. I live in the south so this is perfect for a little cooler day or night without being too warm to wear. It is lightweight and I love that it is a cropped length. It is perfect to wear with my blue jeans skirt, shorts or pants. I don’t have the bulkiness of it being longer or having to tuck it in. It is also perfect for a couple of high waisted, wide-leg pants that I have because the length of this top is at the right level. I ordered a size medium, and it is a nice comfortable fit. This “crochet” top (it’s actually machine-made using a technique called “warp knitting” that somewhat emulates the look of crocheted garments) is reasonably attractive. The coral color—which looks more salmon than coral to my admittedly colorblind eye—goes well with all kinds of different outfits, making this shirt particularly versatile. You just have to keep in mind that it’s going to be mildly see-through and plan accordingly. Fit is true to size, and the length of the garment puts its bottom hem somewhere beyond typical midriff range but before typical blouse range. If you raise your arms in this, your belly button will show pretty readily. It’s by no means a halter top, but it’s not a particularly modest top, either. Comfort ranges from good to kind of not. The collar lays comfortably flat, and the buttons look good regardless of how done or undone you prefer them to be. All that is fine. The issue is that the material itself—a blend of polyester and spandex—is not always as airy and light as you might expect. Despite the holes between the “crochet” loops, the plasticky material has a tendency to cause sweating with too much skin contact. Basically, depending on what you’re doing, the top is breathable and not breathable at the same time. If you’re walking around out and about, it’s fine. But if you’re sitting in a car or booth for an extended period, for example, your back might get pretty sweaty and itchy. Overall, though, my wife likes it and wears it regularly, and I think it looks good in her five-foot frame. This beautiful top is definitely cropped. I have a short torso, and this hits the very top of my high rise jeans. The blouse is also WAY more see through than the pictures depict!..which I am actually happy about, living in hellish climate. It's thin, breathable and lightweight. The collar is adorable!..maybe not as large as it appears on the model, but it does have the wavy scalloping around the edges-very feminine. If you want this to drape a bit-order a size up, but be mindful of the shoulder measurements. This in a L fits me great, the sleeves are fitted, but stretchy and comfy. I dislike the tortoise buttons...not at all a deal-breaker..Easy swap! Lastly, there is a white tag sewn LOOSELY into the side of this shirt..with a few careful snips at the white thread which is sewn onto the tag, it is COMPLETELY, an fairly easy to remove!!!
