The skirt itself is so nice and looks great. The shape is wonderful and the length is perfect for a nice look. The material is pretty soft for denim and sturdy to keep a shape and structure, and it's sewn very well. The downside is the sizing. I wear a size 14 or a large pant normally. I got the XL, which said the waist could go up to just over 39 inches. Perhaps I've expanded, because even the next size up (largest available) would probably be small. The waist on the XL doesn't stretch to nearly as far as they say, only to about 36. The elastic isn't really a true elastic back; it's more of just a little bit of give. I would say plan to size up 2 sizes or maybe 3 from your usual size. As annoyed as I am about having a beautiful skirt I can't wear, the skirt itself really is nice so I was on the fence about giving it 3 or 4 stars and went with 4 because if it would fit me, it's absolutely what I was looking for. Love it. It's perfect for these winter months: it's dark, jean material and both long but short enough (to be able to wear long socks without wearing a full pair of stretch pants underneath, though I could do that too for added warmth). Bit disappointed as this skirt is about 2.5 sizes too small for me, which shouldn't be the case, given the size chart. However, it's a lovely skirt; nice length, nice quality of material, nice color and I like the lines in the design which gives it a clean and delineated look.
