Super cute dress with a flattering design. Decent quality, but the material is a little scratchy and not super stretchy. Wish it was lined, but for an affordable dress I get that it’s not. The size was pretty true to size and it’s a nice deep green color. The fabric isn’t thin so it doesn’t NEED to be lined, but it would just make me feel better if it did. Beautiful, saturated jewel tone color. The fabric has just a bit of give and stretch to it, so it hugs in just the right places. The a-line cut is flattering to most body types, it just flows away at the right places. The v-neck elongates the neck line and the length (mid calf) is just right for making you seem tall and thin (even when you are not, like me). The weight and feel of the fabric is soft and comfortable, not too sheer, but not quite a super heavy fabric either. This dress is not quite formal, but it is very dressy and styled with the right accessories could work for attending a wedding or certainly for nice dinner with your spouse. There is a lot to like about this dress. The cut is very flattering for hourglass figures while at the same time being quite modest and appropriate for any occasion, including work and church. The V-neck shows no cleavage, and the sleeves are the perfect shape/length for those of us who may not like our upper arms. The mid-calf length is also very attractive and easy to sit in without showing anything off inadvertently. While the dress does have a zipper in the back, I had no trouble getting into it by just slipping it over my head. My measurements were between those listed for XL and XXL, so I got the larger size. It is a little roomy, but I don't like tight things. For context, I'm 5'8" and usually wear a size 16. The only downsides to this dress in my opinion are: The fabric is polyester and a fairly thick knit. So while it stretches (which is nice), it may be too warm for many climates/circumstances. The dress overall in a dark shade is a little blah. It looks a bit like a uniform. I'm going to need to dress it up with a statement necklace or scarf. That said, this is an easy, breezy, throw it on and go kind of staple. I imagine it will be in my closet for years and get a good deal of use. Read more

I'm on the fence about this dress. It's a very classic style and color (Navy). It would be useful for a lot of applications - work, travel, church, etc. I think it would travel well because of the type of fabric. Speaking of travel - very first thing I thought when I put it on was "I look like a flight attendant". All I need is the little neck scarf and I'm ready to serve some snacks and beverages! I wish it was lined and wish it had pockets. But it does seem to be made well, the seams are sewed beautifully, and it's a nice drapey fabric. It's classic and basic, in that it would work well for a variety of things. If you're looking for an easy-care, travel-friendly dress, this might just be what you're looking for. Read more

I really love this dress! I put it on to take pictures for this review and I don't want to take it off now. It has such an elegant look to it. The fabric is really nice. It's a little bit heavy, so this is probably not so good for summer, but it's great for fall and winter. It zips up in the back, but the material is stretchy so I actually don't even need to use the zipper. I ordered my regular size and it fit perfectly. This is great, because it makes putting the dress on very easy, but the zipper in the back gives it the look of a fitted dress. I see this as just a great all-around dress for daily wear. The dress is pretty enough. I’m just not wild over it. It seems to be well-made. The fabric is more of a polyester type feeling than soft and is definitely not stretchy at all. It’s something that you would wear to work a date or a fancy gathering. I think it will be a pretty Christmas or Thanksgiving dress. I was able to put it on without using the zipper. I’m not a fan of zipper dresses so I probably wouldn’t have gotten this if I had realized that it needed a zipper to close. I think overall, though it is a very nice dress just won’t be my favorite.
