I love this skirt. Even if the outfit I’m planning doesn’t end up working, I’m keeping this skirt. It’s soft and light and has a good stretch (I’ve gained a little weight and the XXL still fits me). Not sheer at all, although you can see some shapes through the fabric, but that’s just the nature of velvet I think. Sits perfectly, and I can wear it at my natural waist or a little higher. My only possible complaint is that the fuchsia color isn’t quite as saturated as the pictures make it seem, but it’s still comparable. The skirt itself was cute. It was ordered for a specific event, that required that color. Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed and arrived too late. I would have kept it, had there been a matching top in the same color and fabric. The color was very unique. Read more

I had high hopes for this skirt. I was a longtime seamstress so I know my fabrics. Of course a polyester velvet is never going to compare to rayon or even cotton, but this is a very low quality polyester fabric. It’s too bad because the skirt has a very tasteful design with its multiple gores that allow a flowing cut. As a pear shape this style is very flattering to my body type, thoughI think the waist is tighter than what the measurements stated. I don’t know if I will wear this because of how the velvet feels. When you rub your hand against the nap it feels like scratchy cardboard to me. And velvet shouldn’t be that bright and shiny! Really pretty skirt. Color is spot on and really ethereal feeling but has a good weight and flow to it. Nice and soft, fits well. Length is the same as the photo and I'm 5'9, so it may be longer on some people. Elastic isn't annoyingly strong, it's just right. Read more
