I ordered this and figured if it was awful, well...maybe I could find some way to modify it or turn it into something else. Currently I'm on a weight loss journey to get back down to my goal, and this order was part celebration, part motivation. It's been a minute since I've felt good enough about myself to even consider wearing something like this. The material is not as thin as I originally feared, and while it is not as shiny in person, it's not a flat matte either. I feel like the finish looks better than if it was very shiny, and the zipper down the back is very substantial, which helps to keep it from looking too cheap. It does stretch, and I did not anticipate the medium fitting me when I ordered it - but thanks to the stretch, it did fit, and it actually looked really good on. This type of material can get a bit hot, so for me, it's more of a winter skirt. The material itself is on the thicker side without adding bulk, with some good stretch to it. It did not have any odd odors to it, and it thankfully it's a "noisy" faux leather skirt. I had a pair of faux leather leggings that make noise any time I moved in them, so this was a relief for me. I found the skirt to be comfortable, and anticipate it will be even more comfortable to wear once I've dropped another few pounds, although it looks good on me currently, much to my surprise. For anyone who is having the issue of it being not fitted enough all the way down, this is a very easy fix for any competent seamstress, tailor, or someone who knows how to sew - the side seams need to be taken in just enough to allow for it to have a more uniform, fitted look.
