This pleated skirt ended up being a really nice surprise. It does come folded up in a plastic bag, so you’ll definitely need to give it a quick iron before the first wear. That’s pretty normal for pleats, and once it’s pressed, the shape holds well. The fabric feels sturdier than I expected for the price - not flimsy, not see‑through, and it has enough weight to keep the pleats from collapsing. One thing I really appreciate is that it’s actually a skort. There’s a built‑in pair of shorts underneath, which makes it much more practical for school, sports, or just everyday movement. The shorts are soft and stretchy, and the waistband has a small elastic section that gives a bit of comfort without making the whole skirt bunch up. There’s also a side zipper that blends in well and makes it easier to get on and off. The overall construction feels solid. The stitching is clean, the pleats are even, and nothing about it feels like it’s going to fall apart after a couple of washes. The skirt has a bit of a sheen to it, kind of polyester looking. I think its more noticeable in this color. I'm really interested to see how it would look in the green plaid color. But I expected a softer cloth material. The material also doesn't have a lot of stretch built in. At least the skirt part. The short part is a little different. despite that sheen, the skirt looks good in practice. I think that the more I wear it the more that sheen will fade and I'll stop thinking about it. The shorts are comfortable, but I do wish it would allow it ride up higher over my hips. Yes, that would make the skirt a little shorter, but the shorts underneath keep me modest and it doesn't actually feel like a short skirt. It could be the shorts giving me an extra sense of confidence. The manufacturer has pics of someone wearing this for golf or tennis, but I think its a little dressier than a sports skirt. This is a pretty cute pleated skirt! I have gotten a few different generic branded skirts. While they're generally good, I was actually impressed with the quality and build of this skirt (especially at the price point). Despite being a synthetic material, it's thick and feels solid. It also looks natural, unlike a bunch of other cheaper skirts made of synthetics. Fabric care is pretty easy - I machine washed then hung to dry. Still looks perfect and no shrinkage (kind of as expected with it not being cotton). Sizing is as expected - I normally wear and L or XL. I was a bit hesitant since this is also listed as a "girls" item, but after looking at the size chart I picked an L and it fits perfectly. I don't think a size up would be necessary. There'a also a little bit of stretch; I think this would remain a nice fit even with shifts in size :D One thing to note - while it looks like at least some of the *girls* sizes are high-waisted, the adult sizes are not what I would consider high-waisted skirts. I am not knocking off a point because the product photos are VERY clear and entirely accurate on what the skirt looks like. Gonna say 2 things: 1) the only reason this skirt fit me is cause I bought another size first the size chart on these skirts across here is NOT accurate! I originally bought an I identical 2xl from a different brand, my waist size fits within the range provided for both identical products (only difference was faster shipping on this one) and it did not fit under my "correct" size. I had to order this 2 whole sizes up. Our daughter can't wait for warm weather to get here so she can wear her pleated skirt with her sailor top she has. Lots of pleats, great color for school uniform and stylish. Length was just above the knee with quality dense fabric. Shorts sewn in are a big plus. Read more
This skirt is very durable and pretty formal. Admittedly, ordered it for my wife with the intent that she could use this for golf. While she certainly could still wear this, I would recommend something a little less heavy and more breatheable if golfing in hot weather. The material is a thick durable canvas type, perfect for daily use to school etc, but not stretch friendly for activities such as golf. The integrated shorts sewn in are perfect for keeping everything covered and protected, and I believe there is a little pocket in the elastic on one leg. Nice looking pleated girls skort. It’s listed as a school uniform which it would definitely fit the bill, but it’s an all around nice looking skirt. Has built in shorts so it provided modesty and can also be used as an active style skirt. The size was perfect for my middle schooler and the pleated design has a nice look to it. It’s priced inline with similar designs and based on the look and quality is worth it. Read more
